Boundaries
for our good

24 hours
in a day

humans are frail

we can only bear
the weight
of one day
at a time

no worries
about tomorrow

no getting stuck
in the past

abundant life
is in My Presence

Today

pressing toward the goal

the upward call of God
in Christ Jesus.....

The daily struggle is to make the right choice every day, and not try to carry yesterday and tomorrow while trying to live TODAY.

This problem has gone on so long
we always reach the same old sum

divided by lies
multiplied by my failure to learn
In division, we carried over

the sequences of your dishonesty
compounded by lack of ownership

numbers don't lie

you brought a lot of uncertainty into the equation
it played a huge factor
the lowest common denominator

I never was good at arithmetic, but something doesn't add up

Sequestered
She's like thoughts exhaled through the mouth,
Within her breath exhalts the power of life and death;
That she can heal and also hurt is a fact no doubt,
And once spoken she forever exist and never will fret;
As life and spirit even in realms beyond this earth.

Thus, bridle your tongue lest she spits out fire,
Too monsterous to quench over your convicted soul;
Instead before you speak think twice and aspire,
That all your words be seasoned with salt as a whole;
To bless and never to curse should be your goal.
"Although they are only breath, words which I command are immortal " Sappho

Sequestered
My soul's ensnared
By hidden hooks of hell;
Enslaved to grieves
Begotten by anguish and death...
Entrapped at the floating lawn,
Between the edges of hades and hell;
Satan and sin seek my soul,
But on bended knees I emptied myself
"My Lord and my God!"
"Let this damnation Passover me!!"

Christ eternal, the seal, the white lamb.
Divinity personified, given in place of us.
The fulfilment of the ultimate blood price,
paid in full with divine blood.
Defeated by death, yet death he defeated,
Rose from the ashes, He struck down the shadows and shone.
Shone into the abyss, the fate that awaited all sinners;
Broke death, brought life and us.
Cleansed our corrupted souls for eternity.
Through the blood of Christ we live.
Through the blood of Christ we are free.
And through the blood of Christ, DEATH IS NO MORE!
Dawn arises, light shines, the beacon is lit and night’s silence is broken.

I’ve spent too much time  wandering aimlessly stuck here in the sand in this dry and lonely desert land.
Rise up these dry bones and bring me to the streams of living water where I may drink and thirst no more and may my soul be restored.
Lift up these dry bones out of the mire. I pray to be placed somewhere much higher. I will surrender my hand to you so I may finally leave this desert land.   Then I  can be placed  on the mountaintop. Where you will rise me up and breathe life into my dry bones. There I will shout praises, dance, and sing.  The healing and restoration will be complete as I trade in my sickness and brokenness for your joy.  I will rest beside the still waters within your promised land.

A man near the 10 cities
Was mad and bound in chains
He could break all of his bonds
But never his sin's stains

The Gerasenes was home to him
But he was still outcast
He cut himself with stones
He had a madman's caste

No one would come near him
For fear he'd take their life
He was stong & terrible
But naked and in strife
Due to his insanity
The stones became a knife

Jesus must have known
This man was in great need
He decided to travel there
So that prisoner could be freed

Seeing him the Madman ran
To confront Him there
The demons in him knew their time
Was up... and they despaired

"Please let us go" they said aloud
"Into the heard of swine!
Please do not send us far away
For it is not our time!"

"What is your name?" Jesus asked
And this was very wise
They could never lie to Him...
"LEGION!" They replied

"We are very many..."
And that was truth back then
A legion of footsoldiers
Was at least 4000 men

So Jesus sent them to the pigs
And there they entered in
The swine ran into water
And, of course, they could not swim

The people of the region
Were told by the swineherds
Of all that had just happened
They ran and spread the word

They went up to Jesus
And found the man reclined
Sitting clothed & normal
He was in his right mind!

"Please leave our coasts!" They shouted
"We want no trouble here!"
They were all excited
And some were in great fear

"Please allow me to come with you!"
No wish to be alone...
The now-normal madman
Was then told to return home.

Is Jesus' arm now shortened?
Or can He Heal and Save?
Can he make deliverance
For those now so depraved?

If that man named "Legion"
Could be healed at last
Perhaps you could be also
No matter what your past!

Ask him to deliver you
You can make a start
He can come to help and Save
And finally heal your heart!

I have been noticing a lot of writing about cutting and self harm. And a lot of writing about demonic subjects. Actually the two things go hand-in-hand. Please consider this story from the Bible. It is located in The Book of Mark chapter 5. I saw an interview with a lady who had been a cutter. She asked Jesus to help her. She had read the story of the man named Legion. She really related to it... And asked Jesus into her heart to help her. She is now married with two children. AND NO LONGER CUTS!

When I give a glass of water to some who thirst, let the glory be God's. When I sew a seed of hope, let the glory be God's. When I answer a friends call for help in the midnight hour, let the glory be God's. In all things that I do that are worthy of honor and praise, let the glory be God's.
We are called to be the hands and feet of God to do his will upon the earth as best as we can given our human frailties. Let the glory be his always.

So we live in these two worlds
This aching dark this perfect light
A standard of love unfurled
No more struggle you’ve won the fight
Tread the threshold of forever
Your joy has just begun
There is grace to surrender
There is one more song unsung

Where is God in the chaos
When torment takes us down by degrees
A little more broken every moment
Down in the dirt and the fight on bloodied knees
God is there in the heat of the battle
Telling you you’ve already won
He is your words when you cannot speak
And your music for songs unsung

And I will dance in the depth of sorrow
And I will sing In the midst of pain
And I will live today and hope for tomorrow
When I will see you whole and rejoicing again
Tears are temporary in this place
Your celebration has begun
Standing with Him face to face
Singing sweet songs unsung

I don't know if this link will work - this was written for Colleen Cawthon, who passed away after a long battle with Lyme disease. She was an inspiration to me and she and her husband headed the worship team where I attended church for a decade. http://kiroradio.com/listen/9967949/
The wolf prowls.
After the frightened, vulnerable sheep.
She is alone.
And can be so weak.
He knows where her weaknesses lie.
So he stalks her.
Tempts her.
Lures her.
Towards a path of darkness and danger.
Craftily...
he tricks her.
He lures her.
Further and further away from the Good Shepherd.
He promises her rewards.
"Come with me. Go this way.  Meet this handsome stranger.
You won't be lonely anymore.  You will find love."
He traps her.
He takes advantage of her.
He knows she is easy prey.
But this he fails to see:
The Good Shepherd has never stopped loving her.
He will never fail to keep His eyes ever upon her.
He waits.
Silently He waits.
For her to choose...
the way that is right.
He knows how to rescue her from her own foolish ways.
He knows she is easy prey.

The fall has been undone
The world is overcome...

Almighty Holy One of Israel
Possessor of the heavens and earth
Your name be great among the nations
Magnified by your Son's perfect work

The fall has been undone
The world is overcome...

All powerful Father creator God
Blessed hope and salvation
Your kingdom come - Your will be done
Unapproachable light eternal

The fall has been undone
The world is overcome...

Alpha and Omega, Beginning and End,
Faithful Rock and Redeemer
Lord, you alone are just and wise
Who can stand against You?

The fall has been undone
The world is overcome...

The fall verily hath happened
Thus there art demon's in
The world; though Christ
Saidst we canst overcometh
By his light and faith assured.

For ourn truth wilt makest
Friend's turn to enemies, and
Enemies to friend's; though it's
Yeshua ha'mashiach, on which
We shalt depend.

So mine dearest friend edward-starr,
With pain's wrapping thy skull; remembereth
Thou art God's child, not just some being of
Mistakes and flaws. We art to be perfected
In Jesus alone, for Christ hath made thee
A mansion, that soon shalt be thy home.

Hath faith Edward, thou art under
The protection of the great "I am";
He sent to thee, Jesus the king, to
Die for thee and every man.

For God saidst,
I am always with thee, wheresoever I mayest be;
Remember whom thou doth worship Edward,
Christ, the son of God, Yeshua ha'mashiach,
Thy Lord and healing king.
