Wind chills the body.
Voices play the mind.
Sorrow creeps in and stays.
You won't live.
You try and play me for a fool.
You bind me in yesterday.
The pain of my past.
The lies of those days.
The bleeding of the lost.
Your voice ragged.
Sharp like a knife.
Hard like a over size rock.
But know more.
I have found something more.
Something that has power over even you.
He came.
He died.
He arose.
Not just for you.
Not just for me.
But for us.
He chose love.
He chose us.
He chose the cross.
Now I chose thee.
Now and forever.
Now I stand in his light.
Saved by his blood.
Saved by his words.
Saved by his love.
He did it.
He didn't think.
He just did it.
His father's will.
His father's plan.
His father's vision.
For us.
For you and me.
For a world.
A world in need.
Forever amen.
The end...

"The Gospel says you are more sinful and flawed than you ever dared believe, but more accepted and loved than you ever dared hope."*

Timothy Keller

"A simple mind"
Or some would say
To believe God
The Gospel way.

To think of Christ's
Redeeming blood
As "fairy tale"?
Or healing flood?

I knew it not
While in my youth
Oh! How I wish
I'd known the TRUTH!

I was in darkness,
I'll attest,
My father is
An atheist.

But I was rescued!
I received!
I heard the Gospel
And BELIEVED!

I know there's naught
That can be said
To those who God
Has left for dead.

How deep depraved
And sure of death
Are those who sin
Unto last breath

How blessed are those
Who seek His face
For tho they've sinned
They're saved by Grace.

He freely held
His hand to give
He freely died
That YOU might LIVE.

That you receive
Is what I pray,
Then you will know

The Gospel Way.

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus." Romans 3:23,24

"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever should believe in him would not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16

The gospel is simply this. Jesus was born of the ******. He had no sin. He committed no sin during his life. Therefore he was perfect in every way. The only person who could be sacrificed, and whose blood could cover our sins. The only way he could live a sinless life was because He is God himself. He was brutally beaten and crucified. For, in order for our sins to be covered, there had to be the shedding of blood. But not just any blood... Perfect blood. Then his body was *buried* (like a SEED). THEN RESURRECTED TO NEW LIFE! Jesus did this freely. As a gift to you... Eternal life through his sacrifice. And Father God gave us His Son. If you believe that he did this for you, if you believe the above scripture with your whole heart, then you are among the elect. You are justified by faith. Father God no longer sees your sin, only Jesus's shed blood that covers it. It sounds simple... Because it is. For God uses the foolish things of the world to confound the wise.

I'm not on site very much these days. I'm studying and serving God in other ways. But I want you to know you are all in my prayers. I think of you often even though I am not here. I want you to know that.

BLESSINGS!

As I sat down with my friend
To talk we began

One on one
Open conversation

A bond of trust
A must

Expressing her lost
Letting it out like a water fall

I understood and responded with a nod
I will tell her what I saw

Your Choices
Are influenced by someone voices
Or by your free will

So much noise
You can not think clear

The way you feel
You just want life to disappear

When you look in the mirror
You break down into tears

Your life is broken like glass is shattered
Hopeless and in despair

These words I would like to share
Because I care

I have been there
Confused and afraid

My life I almost took away
A second chance I was given on that day

I fell a sleep that night
When I woke up I felt broken inside

I understood what I had done to myself
That’s when I started crying out for help

I was tired of the way I felt
Tired of being wrapped up in the devil's belt

Tired of being a mess
Tired of feeling depress

For three days I rode the bus
Thinking and to God, I was speaking

In change, I was in search
Invited to go to church

I learned the meaning of the cost of love
That a man came from above

He took all my pain
He forgave

All my wrong were wiped away
I was never the same

He was whipped
He was mocked

They placed a crown of thrones on His head
Hung on a cross unit He was dead

They Pierced His side and He bled
Into hell, He descends

To take back the keys of death
No longer will the devil control our flesh

On the third day, He was resin
To give us all back life’s breath

In Him, we find our rest
In Him, we find new life

This what I told my friend
Come, believe and confess

Put your trust
In Jesus Christ
Amen

Covered from head to toes, in this sinful mud

Weighs more than a thousand tons

Seeking for help, in wrong directions we run

Drowning in the worlds' dissolution pond

Demons ripping apart our hearts like piranhas in the Amazon

This is their act of pleasure and fun

To make us, selves of the devil, the fictional fraud

Whose tongue is like a frog?

Wrapped around our thoughts

Misconceptions, our mind he would flood

To injected us with his disease of death

Our life he seek to rob

286% of alcohol, I was almost gone

This is my life's testimony to all

Now I worship and sever the true living God

He revived my heart, with His unfailing love

Starched out arms from above

Shepherd staff and rod

Crucified His Son, shaded His Blood

Now I worship the Lord Jesus Christ

Every day, throughout the night, until the break of dawn

Lock and loading the Word of God

Within my heart, sin be gone

It is to Him that I now belong

Holy Spirit lead, fire in my lungs

Making Christ known

Is my life's marathon

The LORD's Word

Creates ocean waves

They surf right through my brain

The love of the Father

Is what keeps me brave

If you're interested and bothered

To know my inner flame

Then Salvation

Is the name

Spreading it all over the nation

Is the game

Victory

We have gained

Making history

Should run through our veins

Accepting the LORD

Is a process of change

Being reborn

And walking in His righteous ways

Is confessing your sins

And you'll be redeemed

Don't hold it within

And He'll be there, on time of need

For the things, we have done

He'll set us free

For He is the one

Who give us eyes to see
I wrote this back in 2006 when I met Jesus. My whole life changed. He gave me a desire to read His Word. I fell in love and I was inspired to write this poem.

We do not have to plead our case
For he took our place
Tracing back-to Genesis
When we were molded by His grace

His love demonstrate
Breaks
Gender and race
For we are all the same

It’s a shame
What we are today
Is not how we were made
To walk around with these chains

For we bear His image
Polish
To a perfect finish
But we’re stained with sinful *******

It's self to blame
Self-most fade
Our ego trade
For a righteous change

He paved the way
So that our sins will be erased
Our hearts engraved
With the message that saves

Demons shack
When they see His face
The devil races
Back to his cage

His love is like a flame
Power with in His name
From death the grave
To life, He reigns

Your guilt exchanged
With your sins paid
Forgiveness He give
Don’t have to wait
Come to Jesus today.
You have saved me...

He steps in and our expectations ascend above the deep frustration, the anticipation felt by all creation as we bound into our liberation.

He steps in and we step out of age old bonds into endowed freedom, responding to the answer to our tears and groans and tears with redemption born of our adoption as children into a family kingdom.

He steps in and our patient hope is emboldened by Spirit-inspired words beyond words reaching deepest down, heart from heart to the throne of thrones.

He steps in and so we stand with purpose in the divine presence, secure beside divine  representation.

He steps in and choses us for gracious generosity with ultimate justification against all criticism, against all condemnation.

We step up in his image, secured in love beyond separation.

We step up, more than conquerors.
Romans 8:34 Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?
36 As it is written
“For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”
37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers,
39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The crowds gathered around the hill where three men were hanged on a the cross. Two were paying for what they had done and one was not worthy of death, yet he was sentenced anyway. As the hung between two sinners, and innocent blood was shed, a list was blotted out by the Crimson stain. Between heaven and earth in anguish a price was paid and on that rugged tree sin was crossed out for all who would believe.

there was once
a girl unnamed
ever doubted
ever shamed

untamed fire
high & wild
she was a haunted
white-hot child

a wayward waif
she had no guide
no way to hold
her rage inside

"you're a ***** little girl,
watch me as I wreck your world!"

bursting brain
as well as bubble
he brought her
a world of trouble
now unloved
unlovable

charcoal lily
ragged ****
neglected garden
a bad seed
never knowing
her great need

a prickly thistle
tried to hide
all the pain
she held inside

chorus

for years she went on
in this state
unloved, unwise
and reprobate
no turning back
it was too late

wild parties
dating thugs
drinking *****
doing drugs

chorus

But deep inside
the little-girl-lost
a seed of faith
grew at last
she grabbed a hold
and held on fast

then, when things
were at their worst
she began
to hunger ~ thirst!
because her God
had loved
her first!

"I've loved you, child.
I had a plan
long before the world began.

Please do not be sad or blue,
this destiny included YOU

you are SO important
to My story
you will bring Me such great
GLORY!

in heav'n above
I'll show you how much

I know I've been gone a while.
My phone has been giving me grief,
and I needed to use it for a telephone
prayer line I have with some friends.
But it's time I got back on site.

If you only KNEW how MUCH God loves you! How much *I* love you! You're in my prayers daily!

I'm going to revise my site a bit.
Only uplifting poetry about God and His creation will be featured here. I love ALL my followers, but i want to dedicate this site to JESUS. Thanks for understanding.

P.S. it's 3:10am, so please forgive any typos! Lol!

Just as I am
Poor wandering soul
Where I am broken
You are whole
And where I'm lead
Is in your control
Oh lamb of God I come, I come

Just as I am
My heart is yours
And into your well
My love is poured
And life forever
I'm assured
Oh Lamb of God I come, I come

Just as I am
You love me still
And when death comes,
It is your will
But by my God,
Stand by, I will
Oh Lamb of God I come, I come

Just as I am
Your love is more
Than any I have felt before
And when I reach the golden shore,
We'll sing "Lamb of God I come, I come"
My own addition to "Just as I am without one plea"
Tonight you maybe hurting perhaps your at a bar ? No that someone cares about you deeply far more then you could ever imagine. You maybe sitting on the sidelines of life wondering what this life has in store for me ? You weren't created to live in fear & isolation. No his love was such just to cause some of us to follow. You maybe thinking thoughts of suicide, addiction & vice. Well friends turn your hearts and lives over to the awaesome care of Jesus Christ. He died on a wooden cross over 2,000 years ago for all the world to see. He took the awful blow of the Roman soldiers cause he had you in mind. Your very heart & soul was and still is on his mind. Jesus Christ loves you and wants a relationship with you. One that will last for all eternity. If one individual hears this account it will make my life worth the living. To share the gospel of Jesus Christ to everyone will to hear & receive. Amen.

There’s the story of the old violin,
Badly beaten and bruised throughout the years,
Viewed as a completely destroyed has-been,
Expected as an assault on the ears.

Worth not even a penny at auction,
Until a musician played a sweet piece,
And touched everyone’s hearts by the action,
Raising its value to the Golden Fleece.

So too does the Great Jesus know your worth,
When you think yourself a poor, broken soul.
Indeed, this is the reason for His birth:
To deliver you from Satan’s bleak hole.

Look through the lens of our dear Savior’s love,
To feel closer to that heaven above.
English sonnet form adapted from "The Touch of the Master's Hand" by Myra Brooks Welch.
