Joy
The sky, once holding it's light inside like it was underwater
Finally exhaled.
The Heavens could breathe once more
And I saw the morning peak through the clouds.
It was still cold
But a little warmer after the sun's relieved sigh.
I threw my arms open,
The swing of my ribs was horizon-wide -
Something inside me was alive

Drawing images using some words
Telling some stories that are unheard
Stealing the moment, freezing the time
Killing the beast that vultures the mind

Spilling blood, the pen is our knife
Collecting traces from this mysterious life
Connecting dots to create a line
Polishing stones to make it shine

Our words are riddles, a must to decode
Giving multiple key for them to unload
The meaning of some could make readers insane
If wrongly unlock it will conquer their brain

We are a shape-shifter just like the cloud
Painting angels and demons to enlighten the crowd
Hoping they’ll listen to our joy and our pain
Wishing they’ll get the lesson of our every rain

Mysterious Aries
You made a poet fall in love with you
And expected her not to write sonnets about your eyes
Haikus about the way you kissed her in the moonlight
Expected the fire in her heart not to inspire couplets
You made a poet fall in love with you, and when you left
Expected her not to write pages about the ache in her chest
Write a soliloquy dedicated to her tears
Expected her not to feel every gut wrenching moment of the pen hitting paper like your words hit her in the most vulnerable places of her mind.
You made a poet fall in love with you, and you expected her to be silent.
That is no fault of hers.
Love* may be a feeling
But
Love is not just how you feel,

I love you may be the right words
But
Love is not just what you say,

Love is a decision
And
Love is what you do.
I'm thoroughly amazed! A poem of mine has made the daily! I had little to do with it. My thanks go to everyone who saw meaning in this work and shared, liked, added, commented, and even sent me messages. I am grateful to every one of you! You guys here on Hello Poetry are wonderful, wonderful people. Bless you!
Dying love in a gilded cage,
Imprisoned by my pent up rage.
You never loved me, but neither did I,
The last gift you gave was the gift of goodbye.
you were a scatter of light
in my world of darkness

you pulled me in
with your dark brown eyes

your voice echoed
through me for days

i want to be yours
i want you to be mine
What what I wrote a poem, finally!
I met you and my life changed for the better
everything seemed to have  a brighter color because
you started a fire inside of me that I didn't even know was possible.
Being around you made everything okay
but now I'm in tears on a plane and I am blaming you.
I thought I was getting better because of you
but I was only absorbing your light.
I was washing your hair while in the shower at five the morning
because you spent the night and your phone lit up "princess"
I can't believe I didn't realize  that your princess isn't me and
your princess never will be me and I hate you so much for
letting me love you  with no intention of loving me back
cheater
Your chocolate colored curls, danced in a lazy summer breeze.
Your every seductive breath, weakened my knees.
Emerald green eyes that have claimed my throbbing heart.
A whole sonnet to write, but where to start?
I look to the sky and imagine I fly

Look at me now I'm two miles high

Above all the clouds the sky is so blue

I'm soaring and gliding and all of it new

I'm looking at trees, way down below

The air is so thin, light headed I go

I'm falling to Earth, still not a care

I'm higher on Earth, as long as you're there
Read it to someone and she said I should try to  write about sad things?
