With Love as white as snow,
Pure like doves, I know.
Love is all around,
Not lost, Not found.
But within the emptiness,
Of loneliness I drown.
As the world turns, The pain burns,
The clock turns, And I learn.
That Love hides, Defies,
And breaks the mind.
Just in the best of ways.
Whiter than the,
black of snow.

My hearts Work is never done,

These Feelings weigh a ton,

Emotions so strong,

I Taste them on my tongue.

They Watch, yet don't know.
They See, but can't.
If Love is bliss,
Then So is ignorance.
I Feel her eyes.

My eyes got caught, drawn to the way you walk.
Thoughts manipulate what I say.
The clock ticks, but there's no stir.
The World Is Frozen.

The ice of hearts, prevents the spark.
I'd warm it with my hands if I could.
But like time, I fear I would lose them too.
The World Is Frozen.

Nothing enters my mind, and nothing leaves.
A scene, us dancing, The light,
of Lake Michigan on our heels.
The World Is Frozen.

False words we've spoken, hearts ripped open.
We hide what we think, so no one knows -
what we feel. I can't breathe.
The World Is Frozen.

My heart stops beating, feet lose feeling.
I stand there dumb, hands numb.
If only I could speak.
The World Is Frozen.

If happiness is from Heaven, and sadness from Hell,
I’m in-between worlds.
I’ve learned more from Hell,
then Heaven could ever tell.
Sadness etched on lips, and fingertips.
Creating it, that false sense,
of whatever Love is.
You’re always a victim, but never the culprit.
Funny to me, of "we,"
you found us first and kept it, Dear.
The voorpret we felt, as each drew near,
has now turned into fear.
Perhaps a love between you and I,
should have remained as mamihlapinatapai.
That, after all,
would have been, a happy end.

Voorpret (n.) (as it is spelled) - pre-fun, the sense of enjoyment felt before a party or event takes place.
Language: Dutch.
Mamihlapinatapai (n.) (Mam-ee-la-pin-nata-pie) - the wordless look between two people who both desire something, yet are equally reluctant to initiate.
Language: Yaghan.
Voice feels spent this day
when death is a quarter away
and life has passed real quick
without a voice worth to speak!

Have I it properly harnessed
raised where most needed
or have it always compromise repressed
its urge for truth kept unheeded!

Did I war to blow it genuine
hushed it when demanded silence
or wore it with a fake coating
to buy peace with vain pretense!

Voice is ever enslaved to me
used as I chose to be
never able to utter its core
and life may only be a quarter more!

The clock strikes midnight,
signaling us to lay our bones to rest.
As I head to my bed,
and he to his,
I want nothing more than to lay down beside him,
with his arms wrapped around the small of my waist,
and to sleep.
But miles of bustling roads separate us,
leaving us with nothing but the
emptiness between our sheets,
the stillness of the air casting down upon us,
and a sudden infatuation with the clock’s sluggish ticking,
counting down the seconds, minutes, and hours,
until we can be together again.
Nobody said this distance would be easy to endure,
but this one thing I know is for sure -
my never-ending love for you does come easily.
So close your eyes,
and rest your mind, my love,
and as will I.
The sun will surely rise,
giving life to a new, endowing day,
and this enkindled flame will never cease to exist,
because for a fire to flourish,
it needs space, oxygen,
not constant suffocation.
Distance will make us stronger, darling,
I promise you this.
This is dedicated to my beloved boyfriend who lives far away. It's quite hard being able to be with him..
