Mac and Boon
Went up to the Moon
Mac became ill
Boon gave a Pill

Boon Said Thank You
Moon said get well soon
Let's Cherish Childhood
We are shells and shoulders
The shallower the better
Nocturnal symmetry
Or diurnal seizures
From the mouth of the mystery
Myth is spoken
Creating meaning and mayhem equally
From the smooth edges
Of your virginity
You partake in pantless pentecostals
My mind is the sky
I am born to fly in
The heavens reside in your eyes
I wonder if poetry
Could ever be
Anything more than
Descriptions and comparisons
Of things that we'll never really know
I’d like to think it so
Though i know a part of me doubts it
As if the sound of water from the tap
Could imitate a rushing river
Or when the toilet flushes
I could see a thousand gallons of liquid lightning
Rushing to the sea
Like a million divided bodies
Indivisibly brought together by a fantasy
If even for one moment
So we could all feel a little better
Knowing that we are a part
Of something whole

Me
It is dark
it is night
and you do not
keep your eyes closed

you chose to see
you know now you
are going to meet
unpleasant people
unpleasant things roaming
in that dark

but you are not
scared anymore

not sneaking through little
openings and escape that
honest dark room

you are going to
stay until
every creature and every
memory in this darkness
has shown up
and passes by your side giving you
an understanding
high five and
leave

so that you are moving
freely again
free for the
light
...
the night king
aplaudes
bows in respect and
dissolves

they played with fire
because they wanted to get burnt

sad eyes blown away with smoke
sadder smiles drinking false hope

playing spin the bottle
trying to kiss the brokenness in each other

they were so lonely
but at least they weren't alone

There once was a house that sat all alone
With untended shrubs and shattered windows
The walls were lackluster. The rooms were vacant
The ceiling and floors were cracked like the pavement
This house was abandoned; without an owner
And insects and rodents had all taken over

But one fateful night as it was storming
Lightning flickered without fair warning
The house ignited with blazing fire
And burned from within like a funeral pyre
This broken home came tumbling down
And, nothing but ashes covered the ground

--::--
Like ashes from a burning sea
Her sandy beaches lay
Shored upon the land it coats
From forceful ocean wave
--::--
And as the tide draw up at dusk
The beach is coaxed within
Until tomorrow she must hide
Til tide retreats again

Childhood is like a light
It's glow is always on
One should surely let it shine
Before it's dim and gone

I saw you in the darkness
In the silent space, you were
Surrounded yet alone as a
Luminescent blur
-:-
A lamp which glowed before me
I was startled, yet in awe.
For the light that you were casting
Glimmered brightly without flaw
-:-
And as I reached my hand to you
I discovered you were far
Although you seem so near to me
You’re only but a star
-:-
I’ll dream of you my northern star
My distant, stellar guide.
For even in the morning sun
You’re brighter than the sky
The longing for something/someone you cannot reach.
