She Writes
I am done trying to prove my worth
To those unworthy of me

She Writes
Scratches on your back
My fingers in your hair
Body to body
Laying bare

My head on your chest
Your breath in my ear
Hands on my thighs
Your intentions quite clear

***** thoughts
Wandering lips
Shallow breaths
Teasing fingertips

Take me to the edge
******* undone
Cuddled up again
But we’ve only just begun

She Writes
You asked me why I like you
But I didn’t want to tell
Some of my reasons are cheesy...
But here is why I fell

I love the way your lips curve
When I make you smile
It makes me want to pull you close
And kiss you for awhile

I love the way your eyes twinkle
When you talk about things you love
I truely believe
You are a gift from above

I love that you are compassionate
You have such a big heart
That was the first thing I noticed
Right from the start

I love the way it feels
When you hold me tight
I finally feel safe
Like I could sleep through the night

I love that you don’t judge me
For my less than perfect self
That is more attractive
Than any amount of wealth

There are so many more reasons
But I’ll start with just this few
Maybe someday
I’ll give this poem to you

Kellin
64
It takes 64 days to get over you
I stop counting on a cold inebriated night,
the dark forest hanging over my heart
and my footsteps echoing in the shirl silence of a wet hill.

It takes 64 nights to get over you,
64 blue evenings, 64 indigo skies without stars, 64 colorless dreams uneven sleeps, disjointed sleeps, and 64 dreams of forgetting.

I count 64 nights, three encounters with cold metal, two brisk walks in the pelting rain, and one soul standing two steps beside my own body, not yelling your name.

She Writes
I don’t want to want you
But I need you

I don’t want to stay
But I don’t want to leave you

I can’t live with you
But I don’t want to live without you

She Writes
She was made of silk
Though she was soft to the touch
Her fibers were strong
Her secrets and stories
Tightly woven
But if you grasp one loose string
She unraveled as quickly
As she was woven together
