at 3rd grade I was bullied
for being the tallest girl in class
they called me big foot
I was made the laughing stock

And you ask me,
Dear friend

Why I have painted
The world red

And I would have said:

Mind you I did not
Paint this world red

Someone just threw paint over my eyes once

And I haven't gotten it off yet

The kindness of strangers,
An unimaginable force,
Stopped by nothing,
It is the kindness that we need not ask for,

The door held open,
The friendly hello.
We rely on people we have never met.

And they answer our silent cries for help.

TO STIMULATE, TO STIR UP THE GIFTS YOU HAVE BOTTLED UP,
TO DREAM, TO CARE, TO ENVISION YOURSELF THERE,
TO BELIEVE, TO RECEIVE, TO ATTEMPT, TO ACHIEVE
TO ACQUIRE, TO RISE HIGHER, TO STRIVE DAILY TO INSPIRE!
