what if we weren't
so bound by time
what if, like the universe
our thoughts,
our memories were linear
burning, alive and electric.
what if we could swim
between what has been
and what is yet to come,
would our moments
underneath a summer moon
where our souls bled
and our demons danced
be the ones you go back to?
- this routine is all too familiar.
It must be the nights that run into each other
or the days that pass by me when I can't be
bothered to dress,
there are too many reasons to reason with

and
I walk away from them all.

Someone asked me the other day,
what was I doing now?
I replied,
'gone Buddhist and bought some yaks,
making cheese which I sell to the
Trappist monks'

that didn't impress them,
so glad
that I never dressed then,

things will change
or I will,
not sure which is my will
yet.

They both prey
Upon the little guy
Who's just tirelessly
Trying to put something away
For a rainy day

I know you to be
End-beginnings.
Secret.
Hidden,
For me, for now,
Forever, for me, not for you,
Since my forever
Will end long before you
Ever even notice I was looking up.
But we were both born once
Of stars, maybe, of mothers.
And though you are endless
And I am so very ephemeral
I can't help but wonder if
Some of your endless
Lives in my one Moment
Of your great
Forever.
A black hole in each pupil...

I used to
chase the sun.
I feared the sunset
and the darkness
that would prevail.
I didn't think the horizon
could be more beautiful
until I found my moon
that is you.
