Good enough

What do I have to do
For you
To feel like
I’m good enough?

Why
Do I have to
Prove
To you
My worth?

Who are you to judge?
Why am I still striving for your approval?

When I know
The truth is
I will never be good enough
In your eyes

But in mine
I am good enough

Just
The kind of good enough
That can be better

The kind of good enough
That isn’t
As good as other people

The kind of good enough
That isn’t

Good enough

God saved me

I have been to the highest edges
swept and covered by terrains
heavy rocks that pressed
pushing further as I uncovered
met robbers who seized my soul
as they promised a destroyed love
conceived of dark entities
cornered in the depths of the sea
frozen as the sun thaws the facets
one by one slept with restlessness
until I met an amazing powerful God
he set mine soul from the mire
he became the light of my darks
he searched and loved my depths
he gave me joy as no other did
he teaches me and holds my heart
he fills me with love like no other
One by one filled with utter joy
indescribable peace and freedom
a cater to the veins of my roots
wiping all traumatic afflictions
the warrior of my worldly battles
to him this soul shall serve..... always
God love is like no other , he brought me life

Mahogany Eyes
 Apr 2018 Epic
Eve
I will forever remember
Those beautiful deep brown eyes
That you thought were so plain.
But darling, you could not see:
how could you possibly see?
The way they shined in the sun
breathtaking hues of mahogany
Melting into golden rays
Circling an eclipse
your “plain brown eyes”
truly aren’t plain at all
they are a stunning mixture
of every color known to man
The most beautiful sunset on earth.
Your eyes are the most vivid memory I have of you, even after all of these months. You always used to call your eyes "boring and plain" and even called them "**** brown." But to me, your eyes were the most beautiful color I've ever seen. You know when you mix a bunch of colors together and it all turns brown? Thats how I viewed your eyes... The deep brown was just a mixture of everything you could offer the world.

The plan was to be independent
I had my goals written down
My priorities were in check
I was going to follow through
And achieve what I had to in the end
But then **** happened
And my ascetic side was left for dead

All my dreams I trapped in a mausoleum
My spurious persona was in the lead
My new ambitions were kaleidoscopic
They were all wants and never needs
Something new always grabbed my attention
Once I had achieved a thing
Slowly but surely I was being drowned
By deceit and greed

And one day I searched myself and could not find me
I did not see the me that was a visionary
I had missed my way and that was clear to see
I was already in the depths of the ocean of sin when it finally dawned on me

At this point even self-love couldn't save me
And self-hatred couldn't change me
Even self-will couldn't revive me
So I found a coping mechanism
To help me live with my atrocities
Under the ocean of sin.

I am a human-being
I breath the same air as you
Ndinegazi ndifani nani

Don't look me and get it wrong
Was not my intentions to live this kind of life
I was pushed down by so-called lovers
They pushed me so hard that i fell down in deep hole

Don't look me and get it wrong
Am tired of living in this hole
My eyes are open but i can't see
The burden on my shoulders drains my power
So hard for me to climb up
Am swallowing like a pig in the mud

Imagine swallowing with an empty stomach
Oh no!
Isn't that an endless game?

Please help me find a way
Help me find a light
I can't take it anymore

Ndinegazi ndifana nani

Love doesnt hurt
Hurt are those who have
Never taken the risk to love
The whole world is becoming more and more evil here.
So yes we need a Savior to save us from this wretched Life.
We need Love to comfort us, in the toughest of times here.
We need a Savior to Lead us , to the Promise Land above.
We need him to Protect us and Strengthen us in Hard times.
We need Them to Make Us and Our a Miracle with a Purpose.
For by Doing this with Us, others Eyes shall become Open too.
For there Is only One Savior that can Save us from anything.
He is the Christ the Lord, God , His Father, and the Holy Spirit.
As Kenya lay on the floor at Club Envy with her lungs burning and filling up with blood from being shot by an unknown person she thought her life would never end like this.  Kenya's tears started to flow as she thought of the years she spent slithering with snakes.  Her job at the BNB Bank made it easy to launder money for the Black Crime Syndicate.  It was six years ago in the month of June that her life took a downward spiral.
Upset at the thought of being late for work Kenya floored the gas pedal.  As she passed by the slow moving drivers weaving in and out of traffic Kenya hoped she didn't get a ticket.  I just had to stay up late watching the marathon of Funny Man.  Now I got to race the clock and pray I don't get stopped the police thought Kenya as she sped past the other drivers.  As Kenya pulled into the BNB Bank's parking lot she checked the time.
"It's 7:55am.  I made it within five minutes" said Kenya.
Kenya got out of her car and walked through the bank's glass doors.  As time passed the employees of BNB got the bank ready for the public.  One of the three people that arrived at the time of opening was a new face.  Mmmmmm yummy thought Kenya as she walked up to the tall light skinned man.
"Hello sir how may I help you?" asked Kenya as she eyed the man up and down.
"My name is Malik Maxwell.  I would like to open a checking and a savings account" answered the tall light skinned man.
"Mr. Maxwell please follow me to my office" said Kenya.
As Kenya and Malik sat in Kenya's office filling out papers Kenya made it up in here mind that she would get to know Malik on a personal level.
After a day's work Kenya got behind the wheel of her BMW and started he drive home.  On her way home Kenya called her best friend Jewel Stonewall.
"Hello Jewel how are you?" asked Kenya with one hand on the steering wheel and the other hand holding her cellphone.
"I'm doing great Kenya.  What's up?" answered Jewel as she did one of her client's hair at her salon the Golden Scissors.
"Are we still on for Saturday?" asked Kenya.
With a confused look on her face Jewel asked
"Is the day Friday already?"
"Yeah girl what day did you think it was?" responded Kenya.
"To tell you the truth Kenya I thought the day was Thursday" said Jewel.
"No Jewel it's Friday.  I'm glad I have a friend who owns a hair salon" said Kenya.
"You better be thankful.  I'll talk with you later Kenya" said Jewel.
"Ok bye Jewel" said Kenya.
Kenya Ayanna Night was a plain looking black woman in her 30's who lived a very plain life.  She always looked forward to Saturday.  A day she would spend at the Golden Scissors getting her hair done and talking with Jewel Stonewall her childhood friend.
