Spring went on,
reeling off names to me.
The rain the sun the wind and the cold
Rolled in one after the other.
Spring kept pulling out
names from its memory.

People got scared of
my poetry gone wild.
They stopped passing that way.

A snake goes slithering away.
A hare finds its own path and dashes away.
A poothankiri, from a bush, flies away.

He only imbibes because of his dipsomania.
She only practices onanism because she's afraid he'll impregnate her.
He despises her monomania.
She's too affable, almost to the point of being obsequious.
He's too acrimonious and muzzy.
She knows she's a bit of a coquette.
He thinks he's a cuckold.
She used to be flighty until she fell into this convoluted dystopia.
He used to find it scintillating to get sozzled.
She just wants a lark once in a while.
His iniquity makes him want her to be lascivious.
Her every fatuity leads to a cabal.
He's too opaque and insipid.
She has to iterate and reiterate everything she says.
He feels his infatuation is unrequited.
She finds this unproblematic.
He doesn't imbue her with anything anymore.
She thinks he's unpitying of that.
He'll malinger tomorrow.
She'll wonder if it's all adventitious or kismet.
She can't handle his odium.
He can't stand her ten dollar words.

Noon had barely finished his circuit
when I engaged the Sun in conversation,
wondering if her healing rays were a golden ode to pain?

Abruptly interrupted;
shirts' silk thread dripping displeasure,
at the sudden moistness of its condition.

In return and in much the same verbal position,
I chided this thread,
intoxicated with sticky saline libation,
much less for the distraction
as opposed to the - parley intrusion,

citing;

“My dear shirt it’s impolite to gravitate beyond one's social inclusion”

Instinctively,
back and fingers joined this spoken foray
distancing themselves in unison
from the sozzled garments' argument.

Arching and pulling away,
his company no longer entreated,
whatever beauty he had,
now lost,
in his present
dis - position.

In agreement and sunshine unabating,
I attempted to continue our once lovely conversation.
But she;
her glow unwaning,
had moved on,
no longer finding such small talk entertaining.

Have you ever seen a the pages of a story unfold in a single movement of a moment; these are stolen.
Sara L Russell Oct 2009
In 4 sonnets, by Sara L. Russell
(aka Pinky Andrexa) 2/6/03

I

A vampire's spun of dust and frailty,
Condemned to shun the healing light of day;
No innocent first kiss for such as he,
No cross to keep his own demons away.

He's poised in shadow, by the lady's bed,
Fixated by her flawless, youthful skin,
Her fragile throat beneath her dreaming head,
Translucent, showing pale blue veins within.

"And will I lift the curtain of thy hair,
And on thy pale white *****, stoop to feed?
If thou wakest to find me sleeping there
Would there be retribution for my greed?"

She does not hear his whispered litany.
He stoops to feed, in silent ecstasy.

II

Her blood intoxicates him right away.
His head is reeling; he is feeling strange.
She's tasted claret earlier that day,
Surfiet of wine has caused her blood to change.

Inebriated now, he starts to yawn,
As gently, like a cradle, the room sways.
He's mindful he must not linger till dawn,
Yet down he lies and, dozing, there he stays.

Wild dreams of parties fill his sozzled mind:
Of sanguinary crimes, of flying free,
Of hanging upside down with his own kind,
In places that the sun will never see.

As if thrown from a lofty height, he lies.
Beside him, she has opened her blue eyes.

III

The lady does not turn her drowsy head
At first, but when she does, stifles a cry.
The ashen youth beside her appears dead,
With bloodied lips; until he seems to sigh,

Whereon his mouth curves into a half-smile,
His wanton eyebrows flicker as he dreams.
She settles down to watch him for a while,
How very dark and dangerous he seems!

"And will I lift the curtain of thy hair
And on thy handsome throat, alight to feed?
If thou wakest to find me lying there,
Wouldst thou be angry, or rejoice to bleed?"

Did I say that? She wonders, feeling odd,
She gives her new sharp canine teeth a ****.

IV

He wakes, looks up - and she is looking down.
Her wide blue eyes betray none of her fears.
He stares at her, his hand raised to his crown
(He's not had such a hangover for years).

Gaze locks to gaze; they cannot turn away,
He falls into her eyes, she into his,
Then there is nothing left to do or say
Until they have exchanged a tender kiss.

Now comes her father, thumping up the stairs,
The vampire turns, in dreamy half-surprise,
Lifting her up, and, overturning chairs,
Leaps to the window sill; fire in his eyes.

"You're mine now, little one"  She hears him say.
One more leap - and she's spirited away.
HEART-SHIP

About me, I swear down.
I'll tell thee of treks – how I in radged-days
put up with fretted-time,
sought abode and still do, get bitter ***-care,
in us heart-ship, scary waves’ rolling,
where narrow neet-ogle
often kept us at heart-ship’s stem
when it scurries by cliffs.

Us feet clammed by cold,
bound by frost’s frozen cold steel,
where those frets sighed
marfin about heart;
clemmed within ripped
mind of sea-knackered.

2.  CARE-BEGGARED

Town lads have it soft, dunt know nowt
as how us, care-beggared, ice-scratched sea dwellers wintered in exile,
swayed from mates and kin,
rigged with rime-crystals.
Hail stones bounced off our decks.
I heard nowt there but sea’s groan,
ice-flecked seas furrow. Heard at times summat like swan’s. And made glad by gannet’s and curlew's clamour,
for homely laughter,
gull-shriek for bitter ale.
Hail beat up stone-cliffs, where feathered
spray nattered to them; often eagles dew-feathered screamed.
No mates sheltered us,
or made us feel minded.

Town folk dunt credit it,
complacent with blessings
and few baleful journeys –
proud and wine-sozzled, how I, knackered,
often on sea-snickets had to abide.
Night-shadow snuffed us out;
snow fell from the north;
rime bound soil; hail felled earth
coldest of corns. So, now, thoughts
mither my heart, that I the deep sea,
salt-waves, should fetch myself on.

3. NOR

Salt yearn moves us gently.
Desire is a gust catcher.
Heart-ship bobs in its harbour,
as it pitches and yaws
to stranger islands.
Refugees homeland seek.
Though embarking, the reckless, skilful, youthful, brave,
do not know what life has in store.
Nor my hands on harp or on coin,
on lasses limbs delight,
nor on owt save wayward water.

4. UNWINTER

These woodlands unwinter too much with blossom,
give too much gold to villages, overbrighten meadows. World pushes on, all this urges us,
doom minded spirits to leave on flood-ways.
Heart-ship tugs at moorings.
Summer cuckoo's mournful call urges,
bodes sorrow, bitter in breast-hoard.
If tha blessed with comfort, how does tha know what some endure on tracks of exile?

5. WHALE-WEND

Heart-ship tugs at its harbour.
My imagination in mere-flood,
in whale plunge, wide in its turns
eager for seas vastness. Gannet yells
as whale-wends, spirit quickens over holm’s deep, irresistible delights of life are more
than this life that flits on land.
Illness, old age and aggression
wrests life away, bests breath.

6. PRAISE OF LIFE

Praise life. Before tha death
tha must climb mast against malice,
shun dodgy devils. Days stale,
earth’s grandeur beggared,
now no bosses, gold-givers gone,
glorious deeds done,
live out their doom.
Joys stale, weak rule this world,
live here afflicted. Glory humbled,
earth grows old, withers this November.
Old age fares over thee; tha bright face pale;
gray-haired, tha grieves over tha mates
given to the sod. Homeless tha flesh, then, when life is lost to thee, tha cannot sweet swallow nor sore feel, hand stir nor mind think.
Tha gold means nowt beside graves of tha mates, that proud deed will not go with thee,
gold is no help to a self full of itself.

7.   THE MEASURER

The world's craftsman is a Measurer
that turns the earth. Founder of fields
and sky. Only the foolish mess with it
and die unexpected. Tha must be humble.
The Measurer helps them be strong
as is minded in steer of their heart-ship
wise in tha decisions, clean in tha ways.
Anchor tha fire or be burned.
Fate is stronger Measurer than any a tha thought.
Harbour is a life long in love of Earth,
hope int skies. Through all rough tides
and smooth trust in water and the sod.
I thrill at transliterating poems into Yorkshire vernacular.

mix
mixed stirrings
hard to place this constant ire rising from ashes of a fire not quite, yet felt
stir into that melting *** the sum of miscellany unknowns
all wrought from the unsweet gifts of quotidian sighs
no need to wrap the present, baby, for it's already here
twinkling in the birth of every moment
we hardly know it nor acknowledge
so busy wrenching pain from secret places the darkness loves to keep

yesterday brought unsought smiles of outer space dust
then space in pushed into the blue spit bubble of crayfish folly
and fear frozen into place on cauldroned cheeks
as tendons pulled fury tight on a cocky bounty's cry

I want to carry that sweet loading joy
which scorches my receptiveness in astringent non reciprocation
I die to please that spangled energy so much
which holds back its cagey kernel, far from my prying hands
I kneel to take in out of the blue blessings
which fall slapdash on this preoccupied trajectory, forever waiting in sozzled hope
I take the package you flash and cast heavy
which leave sweltering whiplines across my insides
all fine, all just a fine melange

beneath your magic fontanelle lies a sunken cache
there are painfully few privy to that miracle
I live in hope of neither looping nor taking
but just to be happy to bear witness to the shiny array of your gem stock

you are like none other, inimitable and hard gemstone (inside)
a mix of purity stirred in crazy, along with star shine and fire sparks

she liked to steal old matches
her soul drenched in Santal
thoughts deeper than the canyons,
slurred in her sozzled calls

with rose gold colored eyes,
she grabs your rusty match tin
but if you hand your heart to her
you won't see that again

she hides in her rose bathtub
silk bathrobe, as expected
builds castles made of bubbles
and hearts that she's neglected
six sozzled sailors
sang several sea shanties
sailing stormy seas

this bar is a cacophony of voices and sounds-
here, we all are in each one's world
when i jump inside me,
though right here, every thing is obliterated
i understand
a bar is a place to seek truth.

Sorry, it's difficult
to make you believe,
that not allways a ***** is a *****
it could take you to the truth you search,
if you take it as a tool to go farther.

it's complex like the life itself--
most simple lives cut that confusing knot,
with the sharpened edge of their tranquil minds.

let me explain this , situation in this bar-
the bartender, moody and extra quick
is really a seeker (of truth)
observing human nature at places of vices
and making amends is his real job,

the bar maid has an equanimous mind,
no one ever suspects here what she  really is
a yoga guru par excellence, by compulsion of life
accomplished, she could reach Samadhi
which means touching the superconsciosness,
(if you would believe)
she has zen awareness,
effortlessly trvels the path of enlightenment,
amidst serving concocted drinks,
hearing sozzled rants,
swaring and evil chants.
she could easily be a saint!

do i look soaked in liquor?
i come here to let myself go
like all of us here, but with a difference,
i liberate my self, shaking off my pretensions
(all through the day, i live in formality and pain)
by acting a common drunken man,
not the one questing for the elusive meaning.

I'm not more than,
a coquette.
But I fall in love sometimes.
I'm not more than,
drizzle,
In the vast sea of cry.
I'm not more than,
a sozzled thought
sobering up by dawn.
I'm as meaningless,
as the words I write
and the emotions that come along.
I'm only a vain prayer.
Not more than, a high.
I'm dancing along the strings
to the melody of goodbye.
I'm nothing more,
than nothingness
of this abyss, I call life.
I'm the pale skin,
pressed against
your judgmental knife.
I'm not more than,
a poet.
Every word I write is a lie.
I'm not more than,
drizzle
in the vast sea of cry.
Red
He skulks around late at night, all hollow
innocence to swallow, beast within burns
his fire - demonic Dorian Gray, an infinity
of void, reflecting  through mirrors of lead

The blood is the lifeforce of the words, it flows
it's the rhythm that keeps on flowing, crimson --

Lifeforce within, flowing, like rivers in some
******* babylon, baby, pregnancy of the earth boom boom
vampire bite, what a fright, burned eyes boo boo --
trapped in this zoo, man - caged beast, man.

Every man is a caged beast, controlled and
*******, flawed creature, bashing head against the bars
and poets? They are the most flawed of all, dreaming of
escape, no hope, scraping the claws against the wall.

Red crimson lifeforce flows, big bang bachelors
drinking in noir nights, feeling the fright of the
big girls against the ceilings, their dreaming lips
which siren lust and ***, screaming in the night
siren. Bountiful ****, *******.

Sirens of ***, burning in the night, hemp smoking in
the corner, drink more, smoke more, **** more, feel more -
red - red -  red - red
blood / blood / blood

Give it in, keep it burning in your veins, through the heart
that brain, it needs something to keep on ticking
like the grandfather clock, tick tock tick tock
feed your ****, red crimson moon, find a girl
treat her right, be tight with the devine
that feline moma won't wait around forever

so don't expect her too, just treat her right
be tight, and hold her in the night, out of sight
nebula dreams with your love, sozzled right.
Wasted and burnt by your eyes.

Seal her red within with your tears of divinity
and bleed for her too when you need to.

Red, like the colour of a rose,
or at least the bleeding of a moon.
Bada bing, bada boosh.
And here we are,
blundering through the cold, dark
early weeks of the year,
flames from the fire
growling up
the walls
at the King’s Head,
our local.

Inside we’re the jokers,
knocking them back,
lager in
our mouths,
a bwah-hah-hah
noise
between old songs
and the lost-count-which-pint.
Questions blurt     out
but we’re on
the razz,
sozzled.     A mate turns up
the volume, which one
I don’t know, lights
swirl
to x’s, white pinpricks
and would
I like another?
I slur out a guhon then.
We’ve all got
the zest
for more.

in this dark, cold basement with my
poetry in my bra and ******* for so long. I can’t
remember when. I sing a song of loneliness
every morning after the coffee has kicked in. And

write about life outside this prison. And then I post
it all over the internet. My mood depends upon
how many likes I get. It’s a sad journey
this one that chose me. It’s left me isolated

and in poverty. I wallow in the wine each afternoon
when I see the lack of sales on the Amazon
Kindle. And every evening after I’ve been sufficiently
sozzled I tell myself ah, heck there’s always tomorrow.

I awoke with thoughts of you imbuing my mind
Thirsting to ****** your milky hot chocolate body
Drink your sweet loving dreams
Lick his perfect merry lips
Escape into every breath you take
Feel your solid and chiseled cheeks
An impeccable dashing dreadhead
Your dreamy fragrant caresses
Are incredibly mesmeric to my flesh

Your bold tender hands
On my immaculately stacked *******
Suffuses me with immense frenzy
As your teeth cling to my dark, hard *******
Consume me like a brown butter and bourbon pecan pie
Like maple brown sugar pecans
Like a salted caramel chocolate fudge cake
Like chocolate butter *** donuts

I moan passionate oohs and ahhs
Sail away into the heavenliness of your creation
Draw me closer to your sensual heat
Let your sinuous supreme slang overpower my mind
Pour your potion of rare sweet magic in my soul
Make me smile and sizzle as you nuzzle your body against mine
Your smooth hypnotic marvelousness makes me so sozzled
With our hearts weaved together, with your fragrant masculine
Spectacularness, you cascade through my world unreservedly

Soak me in your beautifully blossoming universe
Preserve and cherish my love
Let your luxurious smoothness send me
On a trip to deep, speechless, and rhapsodic ecstasy
My mouth waters when I marvel at your jazziness
You make my whole body soar beyond
The rings of matchless, impassioned Saturn and hypnotic Mars
You unravel me in the luscious lustrous moonlight
Spread your hands all over me and ravish my land

I want to stay in your charming macho arms
Feel your broad, stalwart chest
Kissable teasing nips
Piercingly powerful shoulders
That move me into a thrilling bridge
Of distinctly bewitching bliss

Flaming and dangerous game
Universally predominant charmingness
How I crave to evanesce
Into your unconquerable artistic body
Of incomparable and transparent art
Immerse myself in your exquisite iridescent freshness

Watch the fantastically enlivening fireworks explode
In your brazen brandy brown eyes
Drunk on your immeasurably profound refinement
Extremely gaudy and glossy hottie
So sozzled by your sensational sweet slickness
Wander aimlessly through your poetic and prolific wonderland
Superabundant in eye-grabbing and supernatural magicalness

Rough, luscious ****, the meanest and keenest king
Helluva heart-stirring superbness
Smooth gum-chewing coolness
Attractive, charismatic, and dark-haired smash
You strike my submerged mind powerfully
Make me so greatly gay encased
In your crazy naked straightness

Hide myself in his spectacular security

Feel his burning heat
As he talks sweetly to me
Send me into a sozzled state
With his awesome sauce
I am so affectionately enamored
With his syrupy spectacular splashiness

Immerse in merriment
Keep a steady grasp on me
Clasp his terms of endearment
Bask in a satisfying connection
With his photogenic perfection

I am in a delightful paradise
Hemmed in by his dreaminess
Savor my softness
Fill my gay world
With rainbows and butterflies

My smooth lover
My romantic seducer
Taste me like a cinnamon sugar donut
I ache for his sensationally appealing manliness
His chocolatey voice makes me hot

His machoness flows uncontrollably
Through my heart and soul
He arouses my appetite
I got to have him in the worst way
He is the best thing in my domain

My dose of caffeine in the morning
That gives me a stimulating sensation
My spark of sunshine and inspiration
That permeates me with awe-inspiring thoughts
My affectionate refreshing breeze
That holds me in its embrace

My intoxicating anthem
Taking up space in my mental creation
My exquisitely dashing splash
He gives me his magic love potion
Has me coasting on a dope high
Engrossed in his exposable
Mind-blowing grandioseness

You are a succulent drug
That interrupts my system
Mesmerizes me with your
Dark, seductive lyrics
Leaves me lost and sozzled
On your commanding hotness

I long to see you strip
To grip your lusciously
Charming body
Delve through the inner pages
Of your titillating masculinity

Feeling your fierceness
Your smoldering sensations
Peerless thoughts of a saucy
Soul mulatto so dope
To be enfolded in your closeness

happened how would I
I write? My scars are my
sight. If nothing occured I wouldn't
matured.If nothing set me off

I'd not lift off the page. I'd not
engage an audience. If nothing ever
jostled me, although I'm sozzled I'd
nothing to speak.
they can't wait
to meet their creator,
but not me
I say, seeya later
there is
too much going on
and
things I wanna do.

The week flew by as
I ambled along
gotta save some strength
there's
too much going on.

This day is leaving
here comes
Friday evening,

at my age
all the rage is
whist!
hmm
I'd sooner get slowly
sozzled
and I bet you thought
I was going to say
******.
