"aditya" poems
~ April 2023 HP Poet: Sarita Aditya Verma Age: 47 Country: India Question 1: We are so happy you could be a part of this, Sarita. Tell us how long have you been writing poetry, and for how long have you been a member of Hello Poetry? Sarita Aditya Verma: "I have been writing for the last six years (19th October 2016), that was the first time ever I wrote to express myself. I have been a member and have posting here at Hello Poetry since December 2016. This is the only place where I share my words, sometimes a copy of the same with friends who are willing to read. Hello Poetry has been my sacred space, I feel blessed to be here." Question 2: What inspires you? (In other words, how does poetry happen for you). Sarita Aditya Verma: "Nature has inspired me forever, be it rain, sunshine, trees or the blooming flowers. The length and breadth of vivid times and emotions. I usually write about the experiences in life, as I lightly observe around. Sometimes it could be a photograph, a painting or even my morning walk. In general, the geometry of life and the rainbow that shines. That’s how poetry happens to me." Question 3: What does poetry mean to you? Sarita Aditya Verma: "Poetry is one of the best experiences in my life. It has given me a sense of belonging, a space which is totally mine, brought in a lot of clarity, and words have set me free. 'Sometimes poetry, mostly life, unwritten quotes destiny shall write'- is what I believe in." Question 4: Who are your favorite poets? Sarita Aditya Verma: "I have been a science student, and haven’t had much exposure to literature/poetry in my graduation years. So it would be unfair to quote any of the greats here! Robert Frost and Mark Twain are the ones whose works I have enjoyed reading in school. The rest, most of my reading and learning experience, has been at Hello Poetry - from the many great poets and poetesses who share their wonderful work here, and I am grateful for that." Question 5: What other interests do you have? Sarita Aditya Verma: "One of my other interests is photography, I love the geometry of the subject- it’s all about angles and curves, and right moments to capture. I am drawn to nature and street photography. I am still into the process of exploring and acquiring the skills. I also enjoy listening to upbeat music :)" Carlo C. Gomez: “Thank you so much, Sarita! We are really excited to add you to this spotlight series.” Sarita Aditya Verma: "Thank you so much Carlo, for interviewing me here. I truly enjoyed the questions and am eager to know about and read from other contributors at Hello Poetry :)" Again thank you everyone here at HP for taking the time to read this. We hope you enjoyed getting to know Sarita a little bit better. – Carlo C. Gomez (aka Mr. Timetable) We will post Spotlight #3 in May! ~

Aditya
Tonight, I saw you at the corner of the road, standing, with falling shoulders and lowered head, not lonely, rather alone with yourself, the best company I would say, even if it appears contrary to you at the moment Though, your shoulders are falling, they are gracefully carrying the excruciating pain of your heart, those stiff muscles are holding you straight, yes, your head is lowered down, yet, what a marvelous posture of your body I adore you, your presence, existence is a source of emulation for many, they are admiring their standing woman-man, their stoikiy muzhik, as standing their itself is an act of courage, that you are holding on I don’t know what ransacked you, must have been terrible, but not strong enough to break your resilience, the terseness of your being, I adore you Tonight, when you go back home, don’t just reach and lay on the couch, go in front of that mirror, the one that you have not seen for long let your intimate self undress you, praise your beautiful body, doesn’t matter whether it has gained weight or lost, if gained, admire those layers of new flesh, they are eager to burn themselves up for you, just for you, if lost, praise those beautiful bones, which are highlighting the flow of universe inside the canvas of your body, see yourself, raise your head, give respect to your resilient shoulders, to your eyes which drained themselves dry to make you feel better, see the grace and light they have when they daringly carry your vulnerability with style, they deserve a smile, while smiling, respect your mind, you awareness, which is not acting as your master anymore, when was the last time you caressed your beautiful eyes, hair, face, when was the last time you caressed your breast, chest, all below, Don’t sleep tonight, your cupboard is waiting for your touch, you have kept on contacting them, but for tonight, for one last moment, one last act of courage, that gods themselves are not expecting from you, shut their mouth, defeat death, for tonight, Touch touch your books, shoes, clothes, diary, pen, that beautiful lamp in the corner, your bed that has not been made up, touch your work, they long for your love, and they, all of them have waited for this very moment, just one last deed, affirmatively whisper… Aditya

Stoikiy Muzhik: An Ode to the Vulnerable

Present is a 'Gift' of Today That's why its a Present! Leaving the past & stop worrying of future, Be in the 'Now' and "I Am" will take care of the rest, Be in the Present. With the passing days getting mature and Exploring by gaining wisdom, Remember the universal wisdom always guides, Exploring the self is the Best exploration I can say Even better than mining or any archaeological excavation, I say. So celebration of each moment, Will give you wings rather than Sipping an energy drink(one of my favourites), Claiming to give you wings. Its the moment which gives you high, Go with the flow & I don't know why!! Simply mesmerize, falling into depths And keep on going deeper & deeper within, That's also a way in which, A business model canvases itself to BLOOM. Getting little philosophical, Just came into me today. And I am originally yours, Like these quotes. Laughing at life's absurdities, Exploring the silence leads to celebration. Say to self 'I am Bliss', See the wonders happenings, The transformation, Where law of attraction works. Cheers to Life!!!! - Aditya Karnik

THE ETERNAL TRUTH :CHERISH LIFE
Let's Die Let’s Die Let’s die for a while You, me Let’s die Let nature rust us meanwhile Let’s shed this skin and masks we wear Let’s break shell like a caterpillar Let’s aspire to achieve a state of flow like a serene river Let’s ask question that speak truth to power Let’s ensure that no one is devoured Let’s hold each other’s hand to uplift each other Let’s make sure that everyone’s voice is heard, Let’s put a stop to this brutal abuse and killing Let’s put an ethical WHY before each of our dealing, No matter how much we are unwilling Let’s not wait for someone to break the railing Let’s be the one who doesn’t lead the crowd Rather stays in the centre and feels proud Let’s ask for more humility from the all encompassing creator As we are nothing but “just a pale blue dot,” arrogantly moving in the vibrating vastness of the universe Let’s end the cycle of degradation and humiliation Let’s stop lying for pursuing immediate gratification Let’s question fundamentals that we have been taught Not to dismantle all but to grow without them getting rot Let’s make this death a rupture moment Not the one that spills blood and resentment Let’s **** some memories to begin afresh Let’s hide for a while in each other’s chest Let’s make this body weak and vulnerable Let’s carry someone else’s pain on our shoulders which for them is unbearable Let’s fall sick, Let’s live our last wish, Let’s fulfill someone’s last wish If we do, It will be enough to live a life and call it worth lived when we die Aditya (by all, to all, for all)
