As the fine flower life does fade
As the grass in the field life does yield
As the moon in the sky life dose pass us by
As the trees do grow life does go
As the leaves do fall the end of life does call
As I write this poem I wonder if you will ponder?

Under the sod
that many trod
I lay asleep
My soul, the Lord does keep
Till time does pass
And eternity comes at last
I shall wait
As my body turns to worm bait.

My soul goes home to glory
Where I shall ever stay
And praise the one
Who is the Son
And to praise the Father
Who was my potter
And fashioned the body
That is now beneath thee.

’Twas a short life I lived
80 years the Lord did give
To me a gift
At times I squandered it
But never cease to ponder it
Why I was called to wander it
Would you please ponder it?

I'm trying to get over you
all I do is think of you
how can I convince myself to forget you?

You searched high and low, far and wide,
But never did you realise,
That what you needed was in front of your very own eyes.

It was a dark and stormy night
when an angel of death took flight.
She took to the skies and followed the thunder
to the one who would begin their eternal slumber.
The man who would soon receive such a fate
denied the love of someone great.
He told her she was ugly and didn't have time
to give his love to someone who wasn't divine.
Then what happened next
devastated her parents when they read her text.
He had no remorse when he was given the news.
So the angel of death made him pay his dues.
People take things for granted.
That's to be expected.
But professing love is not an act that deserves being disrespected.
If we took the time to think about all of the outcomes
of our choices, the world might not lose so many beautiful voices.

Placed on pristine pedestal.
Its posture proud,
Its presence phantasmic.
Its position?

Precarious.
