Shield Maiden Apr 2015
I am today as I ever was
And never to be
How foolish I was
To let you in
Like oxygen in the air
It fades away like everything has

But just breath they said
Like nothing ever happened
How could they
After everything they did
Like nothing ever happened
I breath
But with pain
And decided I should stay

But still pain haunts me
Just like you
Why can’t you let me breath
As I was to never be

Goodbye past
I said to them
To be able to breath
Without pain
I just want to say I dont know anything about Poetry unfortunately. So every time I write, I hope that it comes out alright. So i really appreciate it if you review it so I can work on my skills. Thank you for reading :)

i've scrambled
trying to find the whites of my eyes
(have i cracked yet?)
it all boils down to the thoughts i've poached from others
(i exist to create, not to consume)
i tried looking at the world sunny-side up, but the devil in me broke the yoke that i used to share with Jesus.

My great grandfather had a saying
That he would whisper to his children late in the evening
He would tell his boys
In no uncertain terms
That if by first light
If all was not right
To harness their horse
And ride away
A shade in the night
But for the curses he whispered
In response to the poker
Held by his wife
That would inevitably
Make fast friends with his face
My great grandmother was not a very pleasent woman.

I miss you,
And when I miss you,
Its not,
Just a miss , or worry , or care,
Or a concern,
You're the best,
I'm the worst,
But by chance,
you just made my night,
Never heard from you,
Or your mom,
Or your brother,
In awhile,
Made me laugh,
Made me smile,
It was accurate,
It was reality,
When we were together,
Good morning,
I guess mistakes were made,
Then we dry our eyes,
Put on the vans,
I kiss your face,
Made you blush,
Hide your face,
I hid under your bed,
The cutest face I ever seen,
First person I ever loved,
And gave my virginity to,
Wanted us to never end,
Its like you had all the answers to my questions,
You sat on cloud nine with me,
I can't get over you,
And if I do,
Then I want someone just like you,
To kiss and touch like you,
You knew me well enough to do those things,
And get me excited,
If you know what I mean,
I miss you.
Miss her ...

Made of dark African wood
The shell is a lid to a shallow
             Box.
The turtle
Has a painted shell
Dots of red and yellow
Bought years ago when just a teen
No doubt an ungiven gift
Now a
Memento.

Love was on his side
Hate on mine.

Something about how it used to be,
makes my heart ache
We both feel it,
even if my pride masks my half
So, do you?
Are you so afraid to admit
What used to be?
That you liked it,
That you miss it,
That you want it in your grasp again
Peace and serenity,
but with the pointless, angry screams
at who I used to be
We'll never have
what once was,
what used to be.
There are three parties I speak of here. It might be ******, but it's been awhile since I've last written anything.
