Miss Sunshine blocked by clouds
Nowhere to be found
Letting the world see her again
Little does she know
That even covered by rainy days
Her warmth still burns through our skin
And when the rain finally stops
Her light pierces the walls

No matter how hard it may be
No matter how long it may take

Miss Sunshine, please remember that every storm will pass
And even during the darkest days
your light will always be seen
Your heat will always be felt

Your light is slowly fading in the sky
Now it is time to say goodbye
Your warmth helped many
But now please rest well

The train is slowly arriving
To take you once again
To the land of dreams
A place that will give you the warmth
You shared with the world

A journey you deserve
Know that I am proud of you
So now close your eyes and
Good night - Miss Sunshine
Oh golden hues
of soft sunlight
you bathe the world
and cast away night

Warming earth
and bark, and leaf
stealing cold
liken to a thief

Would it be that my life
could be spent
in this moment
Words written whilst wild camping in Scotland and waking with the dawn.

I must acceptβ€”
sunshine never shines the same way twice.

I learned long ago
some cuts
are meant to scar

Tarnished pieces
of sunshine,
Sunshine.

Epilogue
__

Oh, but darling,
You'll always be a guiding lightβ€”
Rotating star, a burning warmth
It's alright.
You'll always be sunshine,
Sunshine

Winter morning sunshine
I feel like rubbing my feet
Her voice is rather sweet
But her lips stink of brine

Blood on my lips
Hers rather dry
Winter morning sunshine
Now mine smell like brine

Not the sorrow of regret
Nor the V of indignation
I just feel like winter morning sunshine
Don't let the OVERCAST keep you from BREAKING THROUGH with that said: RELEASE THOSE SUNRAYS!!!

Light has a language
Share the wealth...
Worth is ours, for a quaint rage
Stick out your tongue, we sake health

Waged wars, stirring a shadow
Mete and future heat
Had for arbitrary whence, when owed
Is a clash with empathy, embarrassed to seat...?

An angel at the table of anarchy
Sweet fares, sweeter charity
Marvel with mine, a dead flower is happy
Tell tale harmony, of vivid disparity...

Ought the spare, the special
Lips of virtue, we will know
Water over the bridge, and a succinct smell
Of death playing, at an imagined blow...?

Of a friend, within an eyes shadow
See me, the ironic role of breath
With a moment to decide, a gladdened more
That has bespoken the world, in a day love has let...
taint a tudie, with big ******, itsa a wild smile with a moment to look, and become a rise in the future

They should really invent a place where I belong.
Not one with entirely sunshine and rainbows,
God knows I've prayed too little for that,
But one where
I fit.
I don't stand out,
But I'm still my own person
And not that me that I've shown others,
Deceived them for far too long.
My fixation with belonging
It's like a need
That will never once be met.
And I'm left starved and ravenous
For just an ounce of it
And its empty calories
this is my 127th poem, written on 10/11/24
