The scaffolding stands next to the stucco wall.
A maze of pipe and connectors, splattered
with a barrage of old paint.
Thick boards span the space from brace to brace,
strong enough to hold you
as you do the work.

There is nothing glamorous in it,
the scraping of old paint,
the replacement of rot,
it is hard, sweaty work.
Slow. It is slow.
It takes a long time
before you can celebrate the results.

It gets worse before it gets better.
That is part of it.
Each step, particularly at the beginning,
is an act of faith.

There will be surprises.
Any place with history will have them,
buried under the paint and plaster.
And each surprise will take more work,
detours. No need to plan or schedule.
You just do the work.
Day by day,
until it is done.

The faithful are always rewarded.
The old can, indeed, become new.
To an outsider, it seems like magic,
but you know the truth:
it is work.
A hard day getting started this morning. I had dreams of betrayal and the early morning  demons had a field day with that. But I know the drill. Thanking the two wonderful counselors of my past, I systematically snicker-snacked them (read Jaberwocky if you aren’t familiar with that term.) into submission and began my day.

So much of life is like that, isn’t it? People don’t see the magic that goes into what we do, our work, our art, our faith, our very lives. They just see the magic.

And that is why we believe in fairy tales. Never thinking how long and how much work and practice it took the magician to learn his spells.

My heart is ablaze
with the flame of triumph
My soul alight
where the power of success
abide keeping failure aside

In a world where traits such as bigotry, greed, narcissism, non-empathy and some level of superiority (in ones own mind) are the key attributes to ensure success and some sense of purpose and fulfilment... I am less distressed than I should be to have failed at life.
I have come to appreciate simplicity and things that are genuine and wonder what reality looks like to the successful. Do they value a warm embrace and a soft kiss and the company of someone who likes them for who they are in the same way I do? And when (if) they feel and experience these things in a genuine way does their success still feel good when they reflect on what made them? Do they even reflect upon such things... or would they be less successful in their own minds if they saw themselves for who they are?
Can you be happy if your aspirations are something other than to love and be loved in return? Without these all is deception and you are both the deceived and the deceiver.
No matter how successful you are or believe yourself to be.... if you do not love and are not loved.... you have failed. Ask anyone who has a heart full of love to give but has no one with whom to share it. Nothing else can compensate or equal loves rewards.

Like a butterfly
You fly and fly
Every day an extra mile
Trust your heart
And your smile
Sometimes success need trial
which cause to stay awhile
Chances to explore
Never to denial
Soon you will know
Everything to be worth
Till that time engage
Yourself those who are loyal.

I'd love the way I'm eager & adrift
That's the only time to know confidently I Would lift!
How do you think about success?

I no longer know
What progress feels like
Every time I feel like
I have made
A major improvement
I lose my footing
And fall right back down
From where I started

"How do I become successful?"
"Are you alive?"
"Yes"
"Then you're already doing it.
Keep it up."

An Invisible permanent scar,
will hitch my wagon to the star.
Some say no time to heal
I say I won't let it make me it's meal.
Some say you need a little brightness.
I say some things are better timeless.
Don't hold on to your past. Also don't forget it completely. Use it as a fuel to launch yourself to better things in life
We must not forget,
The path which here lead,
All the thorne on the bed,
And all the wishes which are dead.

We must not forget the suffering on the way,
Or to encourage you what people used to say
Also not to forget people on the way, who betray.

We must not forget all the learning and experience.
With all the success some of the failure.
That made a big change to our behavior.
