not all earthquakes
leave you shaken;
yet show you
-you had been standing still all your life.

(you were my earth quake, you shook life into me,and for that,i thank you. )

His love was a storm
Strong and powerful and
Damaging
It left me broken and lost

His love was the rain
Kissing me with every drop
Soothing and keeping me sane
But dark and cold

His love was the ocean
Perplexing and deep and mysterious
And left me frightened

His love was thunder
Loud and explosive and scary
Leaving me alone
Shaken and anxious

His love was the wind
It left as quickly as it came
I could feel it
But others could not see it

His love was the wind
It lifted me from the ground
To the clouds
Only to drop me
Far
Alone
Broken and lost
Dark and cold
Frightened
Shaken and anxious

His love was the wind
Gone so quickly
Barely felt or seen

His love did not last long

You haven't even heard my name,
Haven't even shaken my hand,
And already you're running from me,
Seeking to find "stable, safer land,"
Certain I'm wrong about everything,
A lout, a fool, a vagabond, filthy man.
The ignorant. Gotta love them! I've heard that hermits are in great numbers as of late-for some reason I guess...

Distances waiting,
breaking mystique in free fall,
shook pills from the clouds.

When everything seems so dark,
My lantern won't give a spark
Then I feel so shaken
I just want to break in.

Whenever I try to rise,
Then my life seems to capsize.
So I feel so shaken,
that's when my heart caves in.

Whenever I fall aground,
My savior will then reach down.
Saying "Do not feel shaken.
I'll hold back the cave-in.

"Whatever will come your way,
Through the fire or through the rain,
You will not be shaken.
You will not be shaken."

So now when my life feels dark-
My lantern won't give a spark
I will not be shaken
For he holds the break-in.

And now when the pouring rain
Will thunder and come my way
I cannot be shaken
I will not be shaken.
The World is not enough for me, seeing that
my enrollment is inscribed on Heaven’s scroll;
my assignments are ongoing and I know that…
I’m secure with regard to the future of my soul.

I may not enjoy the exploits of James Bond,
but my faith’s exhilaration does not compare
in the traditional sense of the World’s view,
since the Presence of Jehovah is everywhere.

Empowered by His Spirit to take divine action,
defeat of evil principalities that surround
will eventually occur by the might of The Lord,
as I’m standing on The Word’s Biblical ground.

Though I’ll never fear the unknown I may face,
I’m thoroughly equipped and trained for battle.
The weapons of my warfare are spiritually based;
firmly I stand in “the gap” without being rattled.

Certainly I’m not jealous of the secret agent,
for I already possess the mystery to happiness:
the joy of The Lord is my source of contentment.
The strength of my faith is eternally relentless

and I’m loving this blessed existence each day.
My spirit is perpetually stirred, but not shaken!
Living victoriously remains as my mission statement
until the my life’s final day, when I’m taken… home.

I live a life of unfulfilled dreams.
trips never travelled and sights never seen.
words never written and photos never taken.
a world full of wonder and I sit here unshaken.
one would think of glorious adventures ahead,
but I'm just trying to find a way out of bed.
