A promise ,
One that shattered my trust.
A promise,
That surely won't last.

A promise, one, at last
For I'm sorry I keep living in the past,
But I saw a light, far far away
Now I hope it's worth the wait,
Until I dig myself from the grave,
I fell into, drowned in pain.

I broke my trust,
I knew for sure.
Thought I tried to give my best,
My life was only headed west.

It won't last,
I'll never reach the end.
For the treasure is nowhere I can see,
I'll give away my life for free.

It won't last,
A promise.
It shattered my trust,
A promise.

Can I Be That?

Can I be the one who knows your mind,
The quiet corners where your thoughts unwind?
Who listens close, with no need to speak,
And holds you steady when you feel weak?

Can I be the one who never forgets,
The small, sacred moments where our souls connect?
Who remembers your favorite flowers in bloom,
And brings them to brighten the darkest room?

Can I be the one who keeps every vow,
Who lifts you up when life wears you down?
To sit and pray, to walk in grace,
To hold your hand in a tender embrace.

Can I be that? The one who sees,
All the beauty and strength within your dreams.
I'll be the promise that never will fade,
The heart that stays, unafraid.

I've worked myself out of a hole
Deeper than the dead
I know this goes against
Most of what I've mostly said
I just never stopped,
Pushing past every thought repeated in my head
And what pulled out ahead?
My promise to you,
Proving to be the strongest thread

I remember that I had promised,
That girl from Chandigarh,
I had promised...

I promised to sing,
So, in her memory, I sing...

I promised to smile,
So, in her memory, I smile..

I also promised to laugh,
So, in her memory, I laugh.

In a world so vast and wide,
Seeking answers, yet they hide,
In the shadows of my mind.
Paths diverge, which way to go?
Questions linger, answers slow,
Heart and mind in constant fight,
Searching for a guiding light.
Dreams and hopes, they intertwine,
In this maze, I seek a sign,
To find my way, to understand,
The mysteries of this land.
Yet in confusion, there’s a spark,
A chance to make a brand new mark,
For in the chaos, I might find,
A clearer path, a peace of mind.
But now I walk this road alone,
Since fate has taken you, my own,
Your memory, a guiding star,
Though you’re gone, you’re never far.
In the silence, I hear your voice,
In the darkness, I make a choice,
To carry on, though heart does ache,
For your love, my soul’s awake.
With God’s support, I find my way,
Through nights so dark, and brightest day,
Heaven waits, a promise true,
One day, my love, I’ll be with you.

When you promised me 'forever'
I was too foolish to think
To imagine that you'd keep your word
Because you never did

You never even tried...
I was taught that those things
Should be felt louder than heard
