It really is a crazy world
I see it every day
No matter where I run to
I cannot get away

Right is not right
Wrong is not wrong
Life is too short
Yet the nights seem so long

Steadily fighting for breath
Choking on pouring rain
Frustrated with no way to deal
Bottling up sorrow and pain

I hide behind a careful mask
But its starting to wear thin
Revealing the frown underneath
The monster deep within

Barely recognize myself
Changed so many parts around
Most days it's all I can do
To not crumple to the ground

Every time I dare to leak a hope
It gets slashed out of the sky
After so many disappointments
I don't even try

I take the struggle for what it is
Forgive and then move on
And wait for happiness to arrive
Knowing it's too far gone

The wicked world keeps spinning
Turning in spite of its weight
I try not to give up on love
Its challenging when there's so much hate

Bitter but not yet beaten
Though I'm bent in a few places
Trying to write a better ending
Fill in the rest of the blank spaces

Though my eyes know endless misery
My heart continues beating still
Life may never get easier
But who knows? Maybe it will
Feedback?

Above this bubble

Is a hot mess

Cold as ice

Aging faster than light

Pictures from space

By a dying satellite

Reveal an inhospitable system lurking

Like the naked state of the girl next door

It's cute at first glance

But disturbing in every frame after

There is menace in her eyes

Renewed panic over dry throat

They say progress has no patience

What of regression?

Look at the ocean
So gloomy and stressed
Look at humans
Who are ignorant of this;

Look at the life
Suffering in pain
The pain our actions gave
Everything to lose
But nothing to gain;
Planet or plastic?

So far away
No longer even allowed to call yourself a planet
Does it hurt?
To be cast out, like your namesake was cast from Olympus
To the underworld below

Too small to even be allowed to keep your title
Your power stripped
And for what?
Classifications, science, progress
Progress is important
But did they have to take away your status, Pluto?

Do you still bear resentment for all they did?
Do you still harbor a grudge against us?
You can say yes, my sweet Pluto
I will not blame you
And even if this is the last time
Anyone ever calls you a planet
My Pluto, my Pluto
You are still a planet in my eyes

We live on our little island
Beautiful planet
Remote
Such a deserted place
To reach you'd need a boat
Random short little poem

Who?
Who was it, all those years ago
That saw two blue planets, almost identical in size
And named one the sea, and one the sky

The sea, condensed into a sphere
But you are not made of sea
You are made of water, no salt present
All that is pure about the sea
Without the sting

Pure and good
A planet so far away we cannot even fathom its distance
How far away are we
From the kindness of Neptune
Perhaps it is equal to the distance between us
