There's a crack in the swollen sky today
We're caught
          standing, stuck, underneath it.
Looking bad for the good guys down the home stretch
'cuz that ******* looks to be leaking.

Sad news from front offices
Sales figures are down again.
So bummed to slash your benefits
but what's best for you is none of their business.

With newsprint leaving light ink stains
on tabletops
          and tips of the fingers,
they'll just dust crumbs from sweater vests
and sling their quarters into cold parking meters.

****! Here comes an avalanche!
Stay still. Just snow. We won't flinch.
Pretend that we can stand the stench
of the bodies on another warm Christmas.

Sad news from the offices
Pension plans are expensive
Have to reap your benefits
You should prob'ly look for work on the weekends.

Hope they like their breve drinks
Hope they won't stain fresh-bleached teeth
When the North Pole melts, the stores will sink
and the roofs of malls will stand in for beaches.

There's a crack in your lean wallet today,
It aches,
          it's nothing money can't fix.
Maybe try and reapply after New Year's Day,
'cuz for now the sky is still ******* leaking.
Melancholy,
I stay behind these guarded windows
Staring out at all the commercials
And noisy car horns
And people
That covet and pervert
with their greedy, grasping eyes-
That revel in their desire and need
to possess everything new
And exciting.
They slowly peel away their humanity
Like expired bananas,
Left on the table too long,
Exposing the rotten fruits of their labors
That haunts them in their dreams.
I have no need of phones,
Or appliances,
Or whatever they're selling
At sales where everyone is
Shopping
   Pushing
     Stepping
        Shoving
           Grasping
              Stealing-
Where everyone is lying to themselves.
I'm not a crazed housewife,
Or a greedy collector,
Or a corporate sales exec;
I'm just a quiet observer,
Hiding from the spiraled descent of mankind.
I'm just thankful that these events,
That these sad, depraved people
are can't touch me in my quiet corner of heaven.
They are unimportant,
And in their chaotic rush
for power and possession,
They've forgotten the reason we draw close around the fire,
Why we share food and drink and memories;
Why we celebrate the sacred bonds of friendship
And family.
They've forgotten the smell of cider,
Boiling on the stove,
The taste of roast turkey,
watched and checked with patience absolute,
The comfy armchairs next to the window
That looks out on the freshly fallen snow.
They can't remember the warmth of a house
On a  bitter cold night,
filled with laughter and love,
Where stories and tales spring from lips to ear,
Recounting the years long past.
They can't stand still to cherish the beauty in the simple moments,
The richness of the holidays,
when the only thing you want to possess
Is a wide smile,
And a special hand to hold.
Yes indeed,
I look out my window at this day,
a day so dark it deserves is nickname,
And I pity then-
The sad souls that have forgotten
why this holiday is called
Thanksgiving.
Bit late on this, I know. But the holidays are quite busy after all. *sigh*

It's the most beautiful time of the year it would be more beautiful if I had you here with me
Sleigh bells ring are you listening ?Snow falling gently to the ground lights fill the streets
Bringing so much cheer
Everybody is happy
But me
it's a blue Christmas
Without you here with me
Oh baby,
My Christmas is cold and grey I wish you were here to hold me tight
I wish I could be under the mistletoe with you .

i bathed in perfume,
exhausted my blues..
the fashion was set
to be classic and brewed..
so the night was a dance
with wines served in sound..
say the season is merry
we're lovingly caring..
so laugh with pink cheeks
sound loud and enlarged..
your blood-shot eyes are in love,
with a prince of the night..
perfected like a gallery,
on display like diamond..
surely..the way we live
is alive with bliss..

baby, i love you
Merriment bequeaths mirth,
cheeks shed a glow
coddling the tranquil soul.
Laughter frees your mind from the stressful obstacles of life by bringing a smile on your face.

listen nick,

you've been at it for such a long time i often wonder,
do you ever need a break?..
Such a long endeavor, are you even sure its safe, this journey you undertake?..

I mean, no days off, and who knows if the sleigh is fixed,
Because i remember it broke one year back  in'96,

And what about Rudolph? that nose of his wont shine forever in that fog..
& your always stuck in that **** office of yours, didn't the doctor advise you, you should jog?.

Besides, lets be honest..
you kind of sold out. The corporations probably own your igloo and your factory..
&all; that **** gas you yearly require, is probably just another added tax to me...

Its been noted, your intent started off kind,

But the poor, get no gifts while your sponsors drink wine..

The message was shifted,
by a rich greedy ******* thinking hes gifted..
Who's children you deliver presents too, & the wife turns out forgettable because of a mistress..
That's the message of Christmas?
Shoppers speeding past skidrow to purchase a wishlist?

Probably label me Grinch,&
Change my pigment to green.

Post it on Instagram, & have all the teens make a meme.

Well Nick, maybe it isn't your fault.
maybe your trapped in the system like the rest of us are.

pardon me, i just know what these holidays do.
perhaps Santa's waiting on the 1st and the 15th too.

In death we will reunite
Gifts are the second half
Of the tree
Where it comes
Feels
Reunited at last underneath
