This is not a poem
it is a thank you
that is breathing in my chest
as tears flow from ducts
that haven’t seen happiness like this
since the sun started going to sleep earlier
and settled into the sky with my heart,
this is my gratitude
as I look at the words that you say
leaving comments for me to read
that brighten my soul
as nothing has been able to
for at least five days,
this is my love
for the love that you feel
for the words that I shared,
thank you
for taking my tears
and making them happy again
I just logged on after a rough couple of weeks and seeing the responses that people have had to my poetry made me break down in tears. Thank you all for reading and sharing your love for words with me. I am astonished and so grateful.

I push and push and shove
but you don't budge

when i scream, you whisper.
when i cry, you hold me.
when i speak, you listen.

i attempt to push you over the edge
but i never seem to get you there

so i wonder...
why aren't you running as fast as you can love?
and i realize...
that when you told me that you would pick me up when i couldn't stand
its because you meant it.

so thank you for speaking softly, holding me tightly and listening attentively.

and for being extremely patient with me even when im not patient with myself.

You're not quite human you know,
Or,
Maybe,
You are the most human out of anyone,
And all other people are just shells,
Shadows of what could be.
Your body is utterly perplexing,
It folds and bends and stays still,
In ways that my poor mind cannot comprehend.
You aren't quite human,
Or maybe you are the most human of all.
You tell me what you are thinking with a glance,
And nothing more,
Yet I am overcome with understanding.
You think and feel and touch like no other.
Like some celestial being,
You fill me with wonder and hope.
You are not human,
Because you are the most human.
People do not know how to live anymore,
People do not know how to love anymore.
With your great limbs,
Sweep up the remnants of this broken world,
And open our eyes,
To the great gift that is life as a human being

I’ve never heard this song before
as flowers come out of the floorboards;
I forget what my heart had ever been sore for.
life is as light as you let it be- a difficult pill to swallow sometimes

I neither want you to press the like
nor the follow button
I just want you to
give me your attention
Just for a tiny second

150 million children
are orphans
worldwide

821 million people
are undernourished

every 40 seconds
someone
takes his life

In 2017
68,5 million people
were fleeing
a country

every day
7000 mothers
lose their luck,
their baby

Think about those numbers
and be grateful for just a tiny second
if you're not affected

All I want is
you to think about this
only for once
and make every moment count
as if he were the last
I don't want to attack or insult anyone in any way with this poem.
I simply want to make you think.

dont be so harsh
if u cant be them

cause it wont change a thing
if u stare jealousy

just take a deep breath
and think twice
about what u have that she/he doesnt

put a huge smile on ur face
let them know who u are
make them see that ur spotless

u will never be perfect
if u never see urself
as a perfect human

so just be you
dont bother to copy others

sometimes i miss you way too much and i just want to be near you. distance *****. and in those moments, i want to throw some punches and scream at the universe for keeping us at a distance. but i have to be grateful, i have to be appreciative for what i already have. i still get to talk to you, see you, and love you (even if it is through a computer screen). it could be worse. we could have never met at all. and then where would i be?
