Let's make love with the stars,
lay **** on sandy shorelines of
a midnight escape.
Let's be young again, care about nothing.
Dance around the fire of the dreams we burned
of the dreams we shared
of the dreams we believed
of the life we dreamt of.
Sing the night away, burn the pain and the regret
leave the worry at the door and turn towards our silhoutte.

Let's be young again,
build castles from the ashes of those dreams
tell the world we won't care if it ceases to exists
tell ourselves we'll remain constant in the debris
of the collapsing world around us.
Take another gulp of life
and hold the weight of the world inside this
smoke filled lungs.

Let's be us,
just this once more;
Young and breathless
but never hopeless.

CARPE DIEM

Let us treasure today
We are not promised tomorrow
Let us seize the day: CARPE DIEM

Let us dance like there's no tomorrow
Let us do things today instead of putting it off until tomorrow
Let us cherish the moment before it rushes away
Let us seize the day: CARPE DIEM

Let us eat all kinds of good food
Lets eat our favorites
Let us read our favorite poems
Let us write some poems too
Let us seize the day: CARPE DIEM

Let us tell our family we love them
Let us call our friends and tell them too
Let us  create some memories and write them down
Let us not take things for granted
Let us not waste today
Let us seize the day: CARPE DIEM
Let us truly live before time slips away
My friend's CARPE DIEM
I am bringing back a revised version for this Monday.
I hope you like it.
CARPE DIEM my friends :)

Carpe Diem it means seize the day. Today, I'm asking her on a date. This may sound odd, who knows if I will still live tomorrow so I'm doing it today. If I won't find my own voice, no else will do it for me.

familiar faces
roadside challenges
laughter that never stops
we're following the stars around the world to the soundtrack of our childhoods in phrases of
remember when...?
remember when we were fearless?
remember when we didn't know who sang that song about the girl who would be loved but sang along at the top of our lungs because it didn't matter?
remember when we could fix broken friendships with rootbeer flavoured dum-dum lollipops?
remember when we were 14 and i made you call your crush?
remember how you cried into my arms when he didn't say "i love you" back and it felt like the world was spinning too quickly?
remember that summer when we jumped off that cliff?
remember that summer...
remember when
one day soon
we'll all have jobs
husbands
wives
children to look after
we'll say
Remember in college how we took that roadtrip right before graduation?
remember how we almost didn't make it back in time?
How many of us will remember in old age?
carpe
Carpe
Carpe diem,
he said to us
and we did
we seized the hell out of that day
CARPE DIEM!
we ran into the night, high on life, shouting
all for one and one for all!
CARPE DIEM, FOREVER!

today i will stand
today i will live as if life was once for me to live
and no one can tell me to sit
or to try or to die
and wilt away like the daffodils that the ones we missed
now fertilized.

and today i stand tall
i stand over the ones whose hearts were banned from dreaming
just a little push, is all they need
so i stretch out my lungs and heave in
the brightest imagination of their life,
and i scream out all that air
all the air that's been purified
all the air that they'll now breathe in,

and then
stillness

the sun rises to euphoria
those who escaped are now forgiven
the brightest light you'll see will not be the sun
it will not be the victory you claimed
but it will be the life that awaits you
ahead of you
a silver lining
stretching far and wide
guiding you through your race
the race of a lifetime
the finish line of an indelible life that wasn't wasted
not even for
a day.

Yeah right! I was trying to do this the other day, but I got confused about how I was supposed to know in which moment I was going to live. They all speed by so fast. I could not pick out the one in which I was surely ‘meant’ to live. So I tried to envision my moment as a big red London bus which would soon appear around a metaphysical corner with its number and destination board clearly marking it as my bus, my moment, into whose creative interior I could throw my whole existence and for who really knows how long actually LIVE! But fate decided that all the buses are the same, and I hang around the bus stop with my head snapping from one horizon to the other as one conductor after another raises a quizzical eyebrow as he flies by. I want to get on, I want to get on, and obey that wise imperative…

a. …I jumped on the very next bus and found it was already full of passengers wondering how in hell they could get off without paying the fare.
b. …I jumped on the very next bus and at that moment its number and destination board came in to sharp and comforting focus.
Less a poem than a fragment asking to be turned into a poem. Written some years ago, it has failed so far to become one.

darling, we will
never know
when the
oceans are
gone or when
the stars
are eaten by
the sky

we might
live to see
another day
or we
might not,
and that is
that

the path
ahead is
dark and
unknown
but how
will we
ever know

what this
trail holds
if we never
take our step?

my dear,
live your today
like your
tomorrow is
inexistent

do not live
for your
mother's eyes
or by your
father's words

live the way
you dream of

live as if
you are
an explorer
in a new world

take risks
like the sun
will never rise

but hope
as if you
live forever
and have
unmeasurable
chances

this path
is dark
but never
narrow

dream,
live,
breathe freely
my love

never be
burdened by
tomorrow

never be
blinded
by now

the world
the heaven
the seas
are yours

you are free

make your
days priceless

We cannot let time deceive us all.
If I so happened to die today.
This poem is all I’d need to say.
If I were to die before we spoke,
These words would be written in the smoke.
Say goodbye to all the tears and regrets.
Door closed, we don’t need the pain.
Time away just feels the same.
Without you, might as well be insane.
My thoughts of you haunt my brain.
Memories with you have begun to stain.
And my world will never be the same.
Teaching by Example
can be rather difficult
in a World where people seem to refuse
to learn how to teach themselves,
let alone have the humility
to concede the very fact
that there has been opportunity
that they have opted to miss,
however consciously.

To learn
is up to One's self;
no one else can, let alone will, do it for you.
