I stroll apon the suburban sidewalks
of my town hearing the trees whisper
in the freezing biting winter wind.
Do they sigh or shiver in this icy chill?
What do they whisper?
The groans of fatigue echo
heavy ocean swells into the black midnight sky.

Deep thoughts flow through these ancient giants;
thoughts of weather in spring,
epiphanies of baby birds chirping for mothers worm.
The soaring pine, massively ascending into the sky,
dreaming of a childhood passed away in its shade.
The Birch relentlessly taps the window,
the old eyes of the faded house,
trying to awaken the boy once more.
Sorry It's been a while since I've written much, I've been preoccupied with many things. Hope you all enjoy the first part to my poetry story of sorts.

Love is that feeling you get
When you open a fresh bag of cookies
Or take a tray of brownies out of the oven.
Love is that feeling you get
Right before you jump into a cold river, lake, or pool.
Love is that feeling you when when you lay in your bed and let the ocean waves drift you off to sleep after spending a whole day at the beach.
Love is that feeling you get when a puppy pees on your carpet but you can't stay angry
Love is that feeling you when a close friend successfully quits their drug habit.
Love is that feeling you get, as you drift apart from someone who was once everything you ever wanted.
Love is that feeling you get when you and that person decide it would be best if you two no longer spoke to each each other.
Love is that feeling you get as you watch your parent gracefully face death head on.
Love is that feeling you get when you think about spending the rest of your life with another person hoping that you die first so that you’ll never have to be a day without them.
But most of all, love is that feeling you get when you yearn to fall asleep next and wake up with the love of your life every night and every morning.

I never asked to be born this way
Maybe if I was consulted I's be okay
But I wasn't - I don't know what to say
My times running short, my choices limited each day

* * *

You said you think I'm brave
because I can speak my mind
I don't think I'm brave
'cause if I were I would've taken my life

* * *

I'm a coward of the worst kind
One that uses a mask to hide behind

* * *

It's so easy to forget when I'm with you
You make me happy just being alive
But the moment you leave
and I'm left on my own,
My thoughts scream at me
and there's no where to hide

* * *

*Practice make better but I've
     been practicing for years.
Nothings gotten any better, in
      fact all my fears
Are only getting stronger, and
     I'm fighting back tears
'Cause they say practice makes
better, but I don't think I could take another year.
Just my thoughts from today.

Oh, soft, sweet and vivid fruit
We greet you each morning with glee
Holding you in the palms of our hands
Toss you around happily

We wake up with a growing thirst
For your pure saccharine juice
Grab a glass, admire your spirit
Knowing well we have nothing to lose

Then we hack, and we slice
Through your center part, tearing away at the skin
Ruthlessly clawing through the exterior
To get to the lifeblood within

Back in our palms you find yourself
Weary of what may come next
We seize your head and the sides of your form
And squeeze before you can object

In terror you struggle and holler and cry
“Why must you do this to me? I’m a friend and I care for you so!”
But what you may have never realized is
We have always been both selfish and hollow

We crave something of substance and dimension
For one covets what one typically lacks
So while you believed the lies we spoke through our teeth
We held a dagger aimed at your back

When our cup is finally full of your sap
And you’re done being used for the meal
We throw you away after stealing your soul
Nothing left but a few orange peels

Pisces
Cancer
And Libra
Are the holy trinity of the zodiac
If you were to believe her
As she walked past
Jilting your heart
Into 1,000 tiny flutters
As your heartstrings break apart
Fall back
Recoup
Hitting you, sending you back to the start
Of how this all began
And you’re not sure if you’d do it
Again
You’re not sure you are the same man
Who went to sleep last night
And woke up in your bed this morning
And that’s okay
Because life can be fantastic without warning.

1.  I don’t believe in ghosts
But to her, I've become one.

2. The scars on our skin
    Tell the stories we could
    Never tell.

3. You don’t have to be a
Millionaire to be rich at heart.

4. To love yourself
    Is to wear your
    Skin proudly.

5. I could write a book
    Filled with questions
    That I will never get
    The answers to.

6. When I die, I hope
    My deathbed is comfortable
Because, I want to rest in peace.
Some ideas I never got around to working on. Enjoy.
