Rapidly headed in unknown directions,
no director,
just actors,
with good looks and bad intentions,

all hyped up,
everything lights up,
lights on mic’s on,
even the stagehand’s got a hype man so what’s up?

All the world’s a stage,
and that’s okay with me,
just make sure to adjust the lightening,
appropriately,

need some space to breathe,
need some space to see,
need some space to have the time I need,
to escape these stereotypes break out this cage and be free,

these preconceived notions from the public don’t make me,
and they only define me I am the negative of all they deny me,
in the public’s eye and that doesn’t really bother me,
I offer everything up for free except for apologies,

as we,
four wheel drive on this rough road,
a million directions to choose,
but only one place we can really go,

here we go,

rapidly headed in unknown directions,
no director,
just actors,
with good looks and bad intentions,

all hyped up,
everything’s lights up,
lights on mic’s on,
even the stagehand’s got a hype man so what’s up?

Like Shakespeare said...
Scarlet McCall Jun 2016
Say the much-beloved words--
that until now, had been unheard.
A voice and face imparts a life
to a book’s words in black and white.
Imagination can deliver
landscape, drama, suspense (shivers).
But a living human can
turn dream and thought into a man.
Inspired by Viggo Mortensen as Aragorn in Lord of the Rings.
Oskar Erikson Jun 2016
There are no blackouts for us
transitions; seemless
one waking daydreaming monologue to the next
no cut or redo
for me & you.

Deuterogenists.
Astrology and Escapology;
You dream and I disappear.
but it seems that we were casted together
This isn't stage fright- its fear.

It's rude to say the extra's
weren't needed. But its true.
I guess the light always burned brighter,
when it was just us two.

Act I through to V
lasted our life
encore? no more.
I'll retire a gray fox and you my partner in crime.
Lets see what our final scene
has in store.
Racquel Tio Jun 2016
with theatre I tried to become many different people.
the killer was just my rage and the orphan was my abandonment personified.
and time and time again I learned that, they too, were me.

Backstage
Bodies in costumes
Act 1 scene 3
I see the Shakespeare in me
Act 2 scene 7
The best of them all
This is where the young actress begins to wow them all
She sings
She dances
She acts with her heart
She continues until the end of her part...
Act 3 scene 1
He begins to dance the stage
Allowing his words to speak milifluously
Act 4 scene 6
Macbeth and blood shed
Act 7 scene 7
Back stage there they are ....increased sincerity....and pools of blood...small endings to tie up the loose ends
Act 7 scene 8
The lights dim..
The once pristine voice of the woman isnt heard again...all you shall hear is him and her loving in the distance
Fancy suits and fancy cars
Rooms full of people, empty places
James Dean, Heath Ledger, Robin Williams
Real money, fake lives, empty faces

As role models or investments
All these people are looked upon
Coffee, drugs, take another shot
I know it hurts, the show must go on

Lights, camera, action
Acting on and off set
Caged birds , flying high
Their only pause was death
Watched the movie 'Life' about James Dean and got inspired. I recommend it, it's a beautiful movie.

                     Who notices prepositions
                      unless they dangle

                      like earrings
                      begging the spotlight.

                      They act
                      like auditioning extras

                      or photo-bombers.

Of the people, for the people, by the people,

                       what does that even mean
                       when we, the people
                       are simply people

                       trying out humanity.

My nephew goes blah blah blah,
                       which is cute and could
                       mean anything when
spoken randomly _ an 18-month old,

                       like prepositions
                       _  the people:

                       _ God, we trust.
