Arise in the pre-dawn hush,
Everything moves, ask the toilet brush,
Then a morning offering to God,
On with the routine I do plod,
I think to rise and smile,
And send each one positive vibes,
To my cyber buddies across the miles,
To my pen friends in the USA,
Hope you dodge hurricanes today,
Then it is breakfast time,
Compare our statins in a rhyme,
I have learnt this yet, you see,
Aging is really not for wussies!
Feedback welcome, have a laugh.

Stood late last night outside my door
darkness all around
me whilst lifting my
eyes to the sky watching planes over
people traveling near
and far their
destination unknown
to me I have
so dear to me across the
pond as we would say
but In reality thousands
of miles from me so
I'm at my door
myself high
In the sky traveling
looking down on the pond that lies between us
truth be told for I'm now
far to old and
to fly that pond that lies between us so I guess I'll  have to stay with
dreams of how If the circumstances we're different
I would make that flight across the

The love we won
is so remote.
The time has gone
since we wrote.

Pain concealed
behind pale hands.
A heart be healed
in distant lands.

Hear my plea
in simple rhyme.
Words cross the sea
and mind no climb.

Ditch the knife
my love is true.
I give my life
for one with you.

Weather isn't too good today
Seems like heaven's in tears
Not because I'm broken
Or it broke along watching me
Once again another being would metaphorize it with her grief

How amazing to lay on my bed and watch the stars at night sight to behold on a clear night Inky black

And stars like a million priceless jewels scattered upon the sky forming patterns across the Inky blackness occasionally out of ones eye a glimpse of a shooting star

Before you have time to focus your eyes It gone light aircraft flying overhead and always wonder to where they going and to where they'll be will tomorrow

I gaze upon the Inky blackness of the sky stars like priceless jewels forming patterns whilst cast upon the Inky blackness
Watching stars whilst laid In bed a sky that holds endless stories

Please - hear my voice, your good old
Friend - is talking in to
You - let it ring inside of
You - let words echoe in
and Through.

Please - hear this prayer of a
Child - you once were, don’t let the
Tide - of this moment sweep
Aside - and the water'll flow out
and Through.

It’s not time to start over;
The bridge's almost done.
Can't you see from where you are;
That good ol' sun rising on the shore.

Please - the other side isn’t
Far - nothing else's ever
Achieved - carry yourself a little
Further - let your legs walk across
and Through.
Written in July 2016 - for a friend going through hardship.

If thoughts can
meet half way across
the ocean
and tornado a whirlpool
of the unspoken
King Triton would
be threatened
by the intensity
of human
Telepathy you say.

When the house is quiet,
When the nighttime has come,
I am bombarded by thoughts
Of the things that I've done

A scratch on the record,
A static on VHS,
A mind bitterly thinking
About a discombobulated mess

I'm utterly happy,
Or so I believe,
Although it may not come across,
It may not be perceived

These thoughts are like alcohol
Dousing the flame
Don't come any closer
I'm already close to insane

i don't know how you
feel about me anymore

i know we're friends
who tell one another secrets

but maybe there's one more
secret we haven't told

what if i were to say
i had feelings for you

we've been here before
things didn't quite work out

but i can't help but feel
there's something more

lingering thoughts
missing touch

maybe one day we could meet
or say these things in person

but for now
i'll sit here

with my poetry and music
while you're across the ocean

with your poetry and music
possibly thinking the same things
