As he called out for help
He wasn't surprised to find
The waves crashing in
And out of his mind

He was aggressively shoved
And lost in the cold sand
But he didn't miss the opportunity
To take the winds hand

Swept off his feet
He glides back into the sea
His mind aches with sorrow
Disappointed of what he couldn't be

But tonight he would cry out
For anything stronger than himself
Just so he could be
Restored back to his normal health

The waves take him further
And he falls deeper into his head
Afraid and shocked to see
If this road will get him dead

He's had enough now
There was nothing left to find
He fell too deep into the waves
Crashing in and out of his mind

Break my sleep
with taken air
Eyes wide shut
in a frightened stare

Mind left frozen
and body stiff
Translucent images
with painful riff

Burning light
to senses numb
Return the monster
that haunted some

Took my youth
and left the child
Spinning room
from demented mild

Flew through the wires
and felt all cold
Kept coming back
entrenched and sold

Repeated dream
punished me scared
Each night the same
more intense and flared

Dripped in sweat
caved into my head
Tingled left feeling
Gone to the dead

Each night was the same
returned to the night
Alone frightened child
wrapped up tight

Confused and a mess
not gone from my mind
The repeated dream
comes back every time

i've searched for love in all the wrong places.
i've looked for it under your sheets and over your kitchen counter.
i've crawled down your bed and felt the inside of your closets.
i've tried searching for it in flower petals falling to the
ground one by one -- "he loves me, he loves me not".
i've tried digging through the dirt looking for every feeling we ever buried.
i've tried quietly drinking  to see if love was at the bottom of a bottle.
i drank a lot more, just to make sure.
i looked for it in broken mirrors and smashed plates and overused wineglasses
on the dining table where you used to sit.
i've tried looking for it in your eyes that were almost always empty.

i could look in a lot more places and tell you about a lot more.

i haven't found it yet, but one thing's for sure:
i don't know where it is, but I know where it isn't.

love can't be found in you.

Even Mama Earth has weak spots..
She can't chew green everytime!
