if your looking to blame

this i've found out

the pain often comes

straight from ourselves

after all is said and done
after years of too much fun
i'll look back on all of this and i will see

that I spent way too much time
working this assembly line
in the wonder of where and why it's gotten me

no where nearer to life's bliss
when all i have to show is this
the misery of my own lonely company

with the only relationship i have
being the time clock i'm meeting with
and it's only a matter of time till it's done with me

so i'll just keep slapping on the parts
like a one eared artist who's lost his heart
and wonder when i look back if this is the only bliss i'll ever see

He was not difficult to love
but hard to forget.
He would make you fall in love
with the letters
he writes using his soul,
it would tattoo on your bones
and you could never erase it,
for when you try, you’d only get hurt.
The pain of losing him
feels like he’s using your heart as his scratch
and you’d choose to feel another heartache
than to completely destroy the love he built
and be vanished for a lifetime.
You live to hear him.
He loves to write; lives to die.

They are not the people who you can trust,
They are the demons of the past.
Day and night, they'll never leave out of your head.
Sharp objects are their favorite things to play.
Little by little, they can deeply stab you in your chest
Until you can no longer breathe,
They will stop, only for a minute.
They wouldn't **** you, they love it when you suffer.
Darling, they are the demons of the past,
Living inside the head of someone who wouldn't last.
“Write a poem about warning/saving someone but also killing them.”

forget me
i don’t want you to get attached
to someone like me
i leave people behind
without any words coming out from my mouth
i just act like it is our last day
and a lifetime goodbye.
don’t ask why i left
just forget everything about me,
erase the memories
and continue living life.
i might regret my decision
but you won’t regret your future.

I once knew a kid
who smiles at little things,
who cries for stolen candies.

I once knew a kid
who cheers for fallen flowers
who jumps for random kindness of strangers.

I once knew a kid
who fights for everyone's right
who stands for people's freedom.

I once knew a kid
who would make others feel happy
who would comfort their solitude before herself.

I once knew a kid
who is afraid to die
who doesn't want to permanently close her eye.

Now, I know this kid
who screams for God's name
begging to keep her away from her mind
and to stop the burning flame.
Growing up is painful.

We don't hate the world we see,
we only loathe the society where no one can flee.
Ask for a cup of hot tea,
they'd judge you for not drinking a coffee.
Simple things, they'd make it as serious issues;
Serious matters, they'd pretend it doesn't exist.
Unknown people will always be ignored,
everyone knows their hardships, but no one cared enough to end it.
The popular ones have had their sufferings too,
I'm asking, why only them get the sympathy?
Aren't we all pretty?

I don't know what is worse:
Happy moments that can't be experienced again, or
The tragic memories we can't forget.
Mirror, mirror
On the wall
I always break
When I fall

Mirror, mirror
Let me see
What this sick world
Sees in me

Mirror, mirror
Show me, dear
What the gossip
Is to hear

Mirror, mirror
Please, I beg
Save me some of
What you've read

Mirror, mirror
I'm so tied to
And I'm tired of
Being lied to

So

Mirror, mirror
I will try
To see goodness
Before I die

Mirror, mirror
On the door
You don't own me
Anymore
Something I need to say every now and then.
It took months for the refugees, fugitives, and adventurers,
Fleeing their homes and native lands,
For the chance to make a new home in the New World
A New World declared open by their king for development plans.

These Colonists came for many reasons.
Some came because they were persecuted,
For reasons of identity and conscience they were victims.
They could not live a free life where they were before.

Other Colonists came to escape-
Escape the law, themselves, and even their family.
An empty slate awaited them at their new Colony-
If they could only brave the journey.

Others were not running away but towards,
Seeking riches and power in the New World as Lords.
So they came: on multiple ships, in multiple waves.
They shared origins, not objectives.

The New World fit their purposes:
There was space to spare and keep apart
There were resources to live on and exploit.
They neither knew nor cared that native strangers governed.

The Colonists could see hints of native fauna upon arrival
As they landed and settled in seemingly empty spaces.
In this New World they took their places.
But kept a cautious distance from the nearby natives.

“Technology is what makes a species higher in order.”
So they regarded the natives as mere animals with tools and talk.
What is flora and fauna to stand in the way of expansion-
Or the needs and whims of a far more developed people?

“This is our land; they are subject to our law-
This is our life, our World, our all”
How can some stranger from another point in Space,
So casually assert sovereignty over this place?

But then issues of technology did not provide the Natives’ only woes.
This New World was already divided into nations with established foes
There were those who feared these well-equipped strangers
And in seeking office sold this fear for their personal advantage.

The foreign Colonists saw these fissures and engaged in malicious diplomacy.
They played one Nation against another in order to obtain supremacy.
In small numbers the Colonists were vulnerable and equally scared,
If the natives were united their colonies could fall.

Some Natives attacked but did not pose a threat,
As the Colonists had better arms and their allies would assist.
This increased fear and distrust of the local “savage”
Many begun to think that these natives were a liability and not an advantage.

More and more Colonists came to settle
And the areas they occupied came to be too little.
So by the authority of their far away king,
They evicted some natives and kept others for working.

As years went by the conflicts increased.
Attempts to repel were shown to be futile,
As the natives, outgunned, lost their sovereign territory.
These nations of old would no longer hold their old glory.

With time the foreigners outnumbered the Natives.
The remnants of which were at the outsiders’ mercy.
And were driven and marched to more convenient locations.
The nations of old now crammed on sparse reservations.

Canada and the United States did fairly well for fallen nations.
Those both now exist on some massive shared reservations,
On land formerly made up of North Dakota and Manitoba.
The New World is now alien, divided along lines with no resemblance of the past.
