In The Dark

Alone in the dark
It awaits
For the people with a mark
Are its bait
The cold wind sours
The smell of blood in the air
Its been few hours
Since am struck over here
Near the sacred lake
My champ fires out
I begin to shake
As something came flying about
     A HUMAN HEAD!
     A BLEEDING HEAD!

What was out there?
How many dead?
This night is unfair
Crying slowly with a shout
It's too much to bear
I want to run out
But I could be the next prey
Groomed in blood, skinned off flesh
Kneeling down to pray
As I hear the branches clash
It's on its ways
O' sacred lake
Leash off this dark mystical sways
Hide me in your arms for heaven sake
The fear hovers nearby
For my death must be near
Silently I nest up and lay
My eyes shut, dripping in tear...

Secrets buried in my heart
As my deep eyes tend to speak
Am an angel from the past
That everyone is trying to seek

Lost in this world of fools
Struggling to free my wings
Breaking all the divine rules
As my fears draws within

My wings freed but torn apart
I kneel to summon my powers
To revive me from the start
While dropping down from the towers

Magical stardust sprinkles on my wings
The moon at its peak full on beam
Rays of spectrum surrounds like rings
Pouring the magic like a flowless stream

New wings and a crown on my head
Sets a sparkle in this dark night
A joy of praise, I gracely send
As I am ready to take my new flight...

Finding a lover is effortless
for some people.
They only want a few things:
Someone attractive, kind,
funny or rich.

But
I desire
something so much deeper.

I want

an intelligent mind
that wakes up thoughts in me
I didn't realize were hibernating.

I want

to converse, analyze and debate
without being conscious of
the sun rising and falling
between our words.

I want

to make a witty remark
at a coffee shop
so he can reply sarcastically
just for me to jab back immediately
and for him to comeback back playfully
until we're both laughing
stomachs shaking
spit flying
the whole store staring
and we leave
without coffee

I want

our hands to stitch together
perfectly
like two lost puzzle pieces;
one found under a couch cushion
one found inside a junk drawer.
The rest of the puzzle has
already been thrown away
but
these two pieces remain
and they fit.

I want

to fall in love together
then together fall in love with
art, museums, songs, poems
T.V shows, radio jingles,
greek food, backroads,
our mutual hatred for pop culture,
doing the dishes (as long as he washes and I dry)
wrong turns, piled up laundry, life.
Just fall in love with life.

I want

to hurt with him

I want

to save the world with him

I want

to meet, see, understand
and experience all that is foreign
with him.

I think it will only take us meeting
and it'll only be history and happiness from then on.

It's just a matter of if a love like that could ever be
and if a love like that could ever be for me.

Shut your bar,
Dear bartender!
Her glance is enough
To intoxicate the lover!!

O' dusk gloomy!
Don't frighten me now!
Will you let me come home,
by the onset of the dark night??

O' Night darkly!
Don't keep me wide awake!
Will you let me merge within,
to resurrect into sunny bright??

O' stars sparkly!
Don't hide behind the cloud!
Will you decorate my darkness,
to glitter the sky with your sight??

O' Moon loony!
Don't play hide and seek!
When will you comeback,
to fill my heart with delight??

O' Time fleetly!
Don't keep me waiting!
When will you heal my soul,
and fill me with white light??

O' Life floaty!
Don't keep me chasing!
The day we will unite,
I shouldn't die of inner fight??
Nights are the best to contemplate create and reconnect with your calling
I found a poem
it was packed away
in a box in an attic is where it lay
dormant in the dark
unable to say
the words he had written
his final day

the attic has light now
he heard the switch click
come to me come to me
hurry! be quick
I've waited for years
for ions to be read
then the sound of turning pages
danced in his head

he awaited the light when he heard paper turning
and the smile of a face would have his heart burning
closer and closer as the pages were freed
then stopped at the title and did not proceed
did not proceed but the eyes he could see
through the thin journal paper the eyes he could see
and the tears ran down cheeks of a child all but 3
Daddy, he said, 'Can you read this for me?'
'Perhaps you can read it some other day
when you're old enough to know just what it might say
Off now my child, we can't be all night
lay down the book and turn off the light

and from that day forward he waited for me
the child to return
to set the words free

The story of their life
is nearing the *** end,
The graph of the health
has a sharp descend.....
The world is rushing
it's own race,
Their lives don't flow
at that pace...

Possessing a rich and gorgeous
past to share,
But hardly find anyone
to give an ear.....
Chicks flew away
in pursuit of their quest,
The elder couple
is lonely in their nest....

Meditation, yoga
and the doctor's visits
Are prioritizing their
"to do" lists....
Waiting for festivals,
when kids pay visit.
Their childhood moments,
the minds revisit.....

Memories fading,
limbs poorly coordinating.
Hearts are weary,
heavy,
yet pulsating....
Unknown emptiness,
deep melancholy.
Splendid dwellings,
screaming loudly.....

Eagerly wait to meet
with other elderly,
To accompany on the walks,
and to talk heartily......
Relaxing and rejuvenating
laughter at the sunset.
The sun sets daily,
the hopes are alive yet...........
On my daily evening walks i come across many elderly couples and singles.
Most of them have their children settled elsewhere mostly abroad.
I see them strolling and laughing together but i could perceive the shadow of loneliness behind their laughter.
I was inspired to write this during one of my evening walks when  i saw them celebrating birthdays together.

Embrace us to protect,
few people are rust...
But deteriorate us, with
the breach of trust....
Rust covers the iron to protect from further oxidation..but the iron end up in deterioration..so are few people...
