Forgotten Dreams
She sat in that chair by the window,
Watching as life went by.
Hoping to receive the letter,
The letter that never arrived.

She sat in that chair by the window,
Listening to the sounds of life.
Clutching to the hope of the letter,
The letter that never arrived.

She sat in the chair by the window,
With the light fading from her eyes.
She never gave up the hope of the letter,
The letter that never arrived.

As I sat in that chair by the window,
With a tear running from my eye.
I wished I had sent that letter,
The letter that never arrived.
This is my first poem on here and I know it *****. In case people wondered the poem is about my Great-Gran, she had a long struggle with life and finally passed away in November 2012.

Watching the rain fall this morning
Each drop awakened beautiful memories
They were moments to be relived
As the rain fell harder
The recollections grew stronger
As the feelings rose to the sky
Remembering how we danced
Like the water in the ocean
We lost ourself in the moment
Like the waves we meshed
We felt the desire
The thunderstorm grew strong
The desire even stronger
The desire of two becoming one
Wanting to be whole again
As the rain passed
Left is the love fragrance
The fragrance from our dance
I felt your inner beauty
Let it rest upon my heart
Forever in my heart
Never fear it will always be here

Morn as I broke a glass at home
And thought,
"I should have known."
I fixed it fast, it did not last
Why is there a million shards for one broken glass?
One mistake and the world collapses before you like domino pieces. One broken glass and then you see a million shards.

There will be times wherein you'll find it hard to put it all back together. It's just hard but not impossible.

We all make mistakes. But folly is to the one who repeats it.

I smelled a sweet smell a couple days ago. It made me think of you.
I watched a movie yesterday. It made me think of you.
I heard a song last night. It made me think of you.
I saw a man do this thing this morning. It made me think of you.
I saw this sign this afternoon. It made me think of you.
I passed by a store an hour ago. It made me think of you.
I took a breath a moment ago. It made me think of you.
Everything makes me think of you.
I think of you.
