Even when you're not with me
You eat at me inside
You're a bottled up poison
I hope to keep
**Til I die

There's so much of you
I want to see
There's so much of you
I want to hear
There's so much of you
I want to feel
There's so much of you
I want to know

I want to delve in deeper
Into your mind
I'd like to hear the nothings you whisper
You murmur when you're about to go to bed
I'd love to get to know the soul
That's perfect inside
I'd like to wake up next to you each morning
And hear you snore lightly

There's so much of you
I want to  *love
This poem is plain and simple so, sorry if it isn't as good as all the others. Still, hope you like this one. Like it and comment below, making it trend would be nice too. Don't forget to follow me. Thanks :)

The time I first saw Picasso's Blind Man;
there was a loneliness I was unaware
that color, alone, could produce.
Picasso lost his friend & his home,
& I understood why
he mourned for years, in Cobalt blue.

My Mother has kept my Father's last name
for longer than she's known her own.
My father has forgotten who he is so
they hardly speak anymore.
She still carries his torch even knowing
that he may never come home.

I climb the mountains to forget how much
I hate this city.
I watch them from below when I just
want to admire true beauty.
From the bottom, so sacred & somber,
they resemble an elephant sleeping,
surrounded by wild flowers
ready to return home.
this is loosely based on another poem of mine called "mercury in Retrograde?" I will throw them in a collection soon called Empty Home.
my scars
do not define
who i am
but define
the reasons why
i am
who i am

You matter
You were placed here with two feet, two hands
For walking, for touching
Two eyes for looking
Looking into two other eyes
Looking into the vast ocean realizing no matter how small you are you matter
You are matter
You, regardless of the background noise, matter so much that if you were gone that piece of matter would not and could not be replaced
The eyes you saw and the places you walked and the people you touched would forever remember
Would forever miss
And would forever be missing
You.

The piano sings into the night
like a nightingale upon a lonely branch.
Underneath, the lake glistens.
Every streak of soft blue, sailing gently
to touch the moon on the satin water.
Stillness silences.
Stillness, and a bird's cry, the rest of the night.

The bird has died but the feathers wander on.
Eyes of the dark
in the death of tomorrow
you see past the sorrow

Eyes of the light
in the birth of yesterday
the ending nears

Visions of night hawks
climbing in the stars
burning their vengeance
into well worn scars

Burying their breath beneath the sea.

Want me.
Want me in ways that make it hard to speak
Want me in ways that prevent functional sleep.
Want in ways that make you afraid.
Want me in ways, that want me to stay.
Want me.

even with her fingers in her ears, she can hear the toy horse whipped.  if we don’t have food, we can’t pray.  my father was hired for his quickness, his hands

to salt
the rain.  grief is a guard dog from the permanent circus.
