I signed the papers
   to give my organs away
         after I die
              to let you know that
                   even after I'm gone
                         you can still find me
                              inside of others.
Poetry aside, maybe I really should get the procedure done.

She swallowed his words with ease,
allowing the harsh,
unpalatable words slip into her,
without any jarring to her senses.
She fears the day of lashing back,
from all the pain incurred.

A cycle unable to be broken;
Wish. Pray. Dream.
Everything you learn to do as a little girl,
a little child.
They were failing on her.

Not noticing one thing that
might make that difference,
faith.
Something she lacked all her life.
Faith in her wishes, prayers, dreams.
Faith that she can spit out his words,
blend them to grinds,
insignificant as they will always be.

She wasn’t strong,
pretending to not feel pain.
She wasn’t strong,
allowing those harsh, unpalatable words sit in her mind;
untouched,
creating a home for corruption,
wasting away her insides.
She turned towards faith.

Faith, allowing the harsh, unpalatable words
build up coal inside,
not hesitating to spark fire,
and lash his soul into frenzy.
Faith, making her
wishes, prayers, dreams
never fail again.
Faith,
bringing out strength she never knew she had.
I have never seriously written poetry, but I would love to get some feedback and thoughts on my poems.  If this doesn't make sense then I am sorry, it makes sense in my mind lol.
Thanks in advance! :)

The window lets in the moonless hot summer
as the breeze rifles through the sheets
looking for our bodies.

Your fingers dance  over my palm,
absently tracing the lines of my life,
the stories hidden in my skin.

Oh, if I could touch you!

On the precipice of your lips,
shyly tremble the promises you cannot beleive
and will not give.

Your hand leaves.

Still and silent I hold myself.
It as if each star from the sky is dying
and as the stitches of constellations unravel,
and the black blanket of sky falls.

And dark summer rules our room.
Your face invisible, but I can hear your breath still.
Like the far away waves of a retreating tides.
But there is no moon, and you will not return.

You know how the sun is always there,
each morning, throughout the day
and makes sure life grows.
and sometimes you want to face it,
with eyes closed
and arms spread out
till a tingle spreads from your fingers
to your insides
and how sometimes the same sun
burns your skin and prickles your mind.

You know how the moon is always so calm,
serene and makes you awestruck
as if it's the reason for the tides
of your heart
how it makes you feel secure and at peace
how it follows your car and keeps looking
out for you wherever you are.
but also how it isn't always there,
or is, but not entirely.

There are different types of love.

20 weeks and I've fallen
So hard that I have shattered
The butterflies ate me alive
As I realized I never mattered

The time I wasted on you
Never felt wasted
At the time.
And if courage
Is what makes a man
You are a child
And I am not ready
To be a mother.
My arms are too weak
To lift you up
When you're already
So high.
And I'm afraid
I'll have to leave you
With your games
Because I am too old
To play.

I liked that you wore a watch.
Never looked to your phone for the time.
The time, where did the time go?
You kept it on your wrist attached to
The hand that held all the cards and
You took it with you when you left.

Our  consciousness somber ,
though  intuition is vibrant
Gathering my  undivided attention, your swaying being bumps into mine
Static-y  sensation undefined
Lips magnetically linked, waiting to be collided.
Aroma of bitter alcohol exhales with each breath
Intellectual levels parallel with one another
Each absolute sense of warmth in your touch commands a heart trembling
shutter
Mind a fog, thoughts jog
Clumsy shoes overlapping each other
I want to be close
we need to be close
Show me all the things you keep inside
deep in your mind
and I'll show you mine
Nonetheless this is authentic
loving you while we're wasted
that is eccentric

I thought I loved you,
but I see now
I wasted my time and love.
I won't get fooled again.
Goodbye.

Across the sea,
So very far away from me.
Unexpected love,
Light as a dove.
You took my heart
In your hands
And cradled it
Like a prized possession.
Deployed as a Marine,
Patiently waiting for me
Filling me with glee.
Your love hit me
Like a ton of bricks.
Your broken heart,
I am here to fix.
Never will I write you
A Dear John letter,
I'm so much better
Than what she did to you.
All you should expect
From me are poems,
And "open when" notes.
I'd ride a boat,
A plane,
A train
Just to get to you.
But waiting for you
Is agonizing,
But worth it all the while.
