Just hold me

I don't need you to promise that you'll love me forever
Or that it will all be alright.
I'm not a child, I understand that the world is cruel and we don't always mean what we say.
I understand that people grow up and grow apart.
I don't need to hear a happy ending
Or a perfect dream.

Just hold me and be silent.
Let me fantasize what it might be like to live in that moment for infinity with you.
If I could exist in a dream, that would be it.

My secret life, my dark iniquity
Is best kept caged behind a gentle smile.
For though endowed with suave propinquity,
My heart lurks in the weeds, a crocodile.
NaPoWriMo day 24 - a "mix-n-match" poem.

Any similarities to any poet, living or dead, is hardly coincidental.  ;)

South-by-Southwest
They walk by brisk
Covered in umbrellas
On high heels with ankles
Of no appeal

They grab the shaft
With both hands
As the wind tries to steal
Their umbrage

With agility
They skip over puddles
As I marvel
At the procession

With destined determination
They ****** on
As spiked high heels
Grapple on cobblestone

Rainy day women
In gray coats and wet umbrellas
Under overcast skies
With no hellos or goodbyes

the lure
of the full moon’s light
in a frosty December night
is almost irresistible

it beckons to you
its pale radiance
   casts deep shadows
   full of unknown possibilities
that grow by the moment
and struggle to turn into words
   trying to grasp the cosmos
   the mystery of life

   amazing how the mere reflection
   of the sun’s brilliance
   can affect one so

it seems to ask you
to set a cool-hearted deed
make definite decisions
explore the blueprint of the universe
turn into a werewolf
dance with the dead

you look at the glimmering stars
   dotting the darkness
   left by the moon

delayed messengers
always too late

even with the speed of light
they only make us
   see the past
   mistake it for the present
and build our future on it

the thoughts of a man staring at the sky
   in a frosty December night

deciding
to love on

Let's just accept the fact
that I am not destined
to have the things they get
or live the lives they have
that their achievements
is not what I should aim for
that I should set my own realistic goal
that when the ripe age comes
I shall conquer the way I want
Also, I should remember that instagram
does not always show the full picture
that for even just a little,
there's a lie lurking there somewhere

if there is an experiment to determine ways
of permanently doing away
with this everyday weight that is
depression,
i volunteer.
take me first.

take me first
before i send myself away.

i.

Aloof, alamoth shalt be as caffoy
To the effulgence; betwixt the
Stretched out firmament.

None more dacryop's; for
Euphoria is permanent.

           ii.

Multicolored adamant to be ourn walking step's,
None ado; an ambassage of love so true, apace
            When airborne-balm of soothe.

                                         iii.

                                           Cheek to cheek, Rosy blush
                                           ****. Top-to-feet, robed by
                                           Heat; from white sustaining
                                           Spirit.

iv.

Mine lady, closer-feeleth me. Graze mine inner
Being. Touch mine blood that sing's; when thou
Art close. No longer art we the norm, we're now
Perfected from the storm's.

v.

Surmounting through those once
Infernal
Ghost's.

vi.

O' now we art untouched, protected
Alongside high-rank Host's;
Beauty is the most enlightening,
Being seen through thine
Glorious view.

Yeah, that's what you see
scarlet lips,
doe-eyed stares,
blushing cheeks
long black hair
framing the heart shaped face.

Ah yes,
a husky voice
promising good times.

And more
no less desirable,
am I
slim figure, revealing hips
curvy body
like a fresh rose
that you want
in fragrance and hold.

Do you ever wonder,
beyond the glitter
beyond that alluring smile
the all smiling look
who am I,
really?

I guess not,
like the apple you eat:
flesh you enjoy,
the core and seeds
are not your concerns,
they are destined
to be thrown away
when hunger is gone.

There is an endless gap
In my chest
Where your pain
Would be
Now all that remains
Is the pain that comes from me

It is as wide and great as a raging sea
And I cannot make it leave
At least not without your pain I believe.
Random poem late tonight. Was thinking of him more. Always seem to now.

He  stays  with  us  in  winter  storms
And  when  the  garden's  bleak
He  hops  around  in  sleet  and  hail
Appearing  pale  and  weak.

But  once  the  days  begin  to  lengthen
And  the  worst  of  winter's  gone
He  perches  high  up  in  a  tree
And  begins  his  joyful  song.
