Ten.
These are the worst kinds of nights. The kind where you're gagging on your own breath that's hitching in your throat. The kind where you open your mouth to speak but you can't get those words out. To say them makes them true.
Nine.
The rain pounds against your window pain and the voice inside your head doesn't stop no matter how hard you cover your ears. You're screaming until you feel your throat bleed but you can't shut off the noise inside you. You can't stop the yelling within.
Eight.
You wonder if anyone ever notices your raspberry painted smile never quite reaches your eyes and you wonder if anyone ever wonders why your sleeves are stained red.
Seven.
Cold. You feel so cold like the wind that rattles your bones and you can't remember what it feels like to sit in the sun.
Six.
Rip the things from the walls. Tear off the bed sheets. Shatter the mirrors and blacken your own eyes. The hurricane that's made its home inside you needs destruction to keep on living, but you don't know ******* it.
Five.
you're falling to your knees and ******* it stop crying. Stop! Don't you dare ask for help. Tears and running down your face and you can't make them quit. Crimson runs down your arms with your hands clasped in prayer, you swear you'll never do it again.
Four.
The only thing left in you for now is the hollow feeling. Your thoughts are whirling around the room gaining turbulence.
Three.
Pick it up, rinse it under cold water, tape it up as best as you can. No one told you when you poured your heart out it might fall to the floor and shatter
Two.
if you smile tomorrow no one will know, and you could be beautiful. Honestly. Maybe someone could love you
One.
your thoughts and feelings come rushing back into your body and soul. something breaks deep within you. your whole heart falling down. Irreversibly damaged in 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1

I told my mother at the age of five
"If your boyfriend Frankie
Doesn't stop hurting me
I'm going to live with the wolves"
"Well" she said
"Go then, live with wolves"

So I left the kitchen and walked
through the garage and out of the side
door across the rock lawn
and across the street into the desert
Where coyotes lived
One hundred and eighty yards away in measure
But really about ten or eleven properties

I was so mad at being hurt
and no one to protect me

My friends came charging to greet me
about halfway from their den
And they surrounded me
And nipped at me
Two or three of them at a time
And the nips hurt but,
They were not a hurt of pain
I swear
and without imagination

These were bites of love
And the more they would bite me
The more I could feel their love
A love of warmth and tenderness
A caring love
A love which knows no boundaries
So warm the love of the desert wolves

Not of something colder
that would invite strangers into
their home to harm their own

Flesh and blood and bones
They, the yote, so starved
for affection
the somber song they sing of morn
and of moonlight
and the tides
both ebb and flow

Their love, they shared with me
A warmth that none can match
The messenger between maker
and mankind
will never understand nor listen

Paper walls and the wails of wolves
Both whisper in the winds

Should I think in terms of strife?
When I write should I add gloss?
What should I leave as dross?

It can't have been a life of gloom.
He must have had a time of bloom.
Where others jibe, should I proclaim,
or blind myself to shame?

I sometimes feel like ocean
lonely, deep and blue ...
What tomorrow will bring
not having a single clue

whether it will be calm
or if i'll suffer from strom
if moon will raise the tides
or there will no change in form

when people tell their secrets
i listen to their tales
like ocean receive the waters
and help the sailors sail ...

And when i get so tired
i want to talk to friend
like waves come to shore
in a hope that he'll mend

but then realization hits
there is no friend of I
like ocean stands alone
till the day it's dry !!

Denial of others
is an easy thing,
Label them
responsible for
everything,
If they are gone,
We'll all
be okay.

We hear the same tune,
Everywhere we go,
Among our friends,
Small office spaces,
Family members,
the black sheep,
Don't you know.

Corporate meetings
in board room splendor,
Fingers are pointed
at those,
Identifying those who disturb our peace,
Interrupt our greed.

Blame becomes epidemic,
Get rid of them,
We'll all be okay.

Pulpits of every denomination
scream at
those who would be so,
Just get rid of them
We'll all be okay.

Changing times
enemies become allies,
The doomsday clock
moves up a notch,
Get rid of them
then we'll all be
okay.

Well,  it's just
you and me,
As Dylan said
"I won't be the last to leave."

Get rid of them,
I'll be okay,
We both say,
I look at you,
You look at me.

Alone at last,
No one else to blame,
I'm looking in the mirror,
I'm pointing at
me,
Get rid of him,
Then we'll all
be
okay.

I miss my past, I miss your name;
You cheer me always, you wipe every tears;
You are a friend, to me that's very clear;
But part of me gone wrong, happened when I ride to stranger's song;

I've left  you then, without saying goodbye;
I've hurt your feeling and made you cried;
Right now I'm coming back, sworn to stay;
I'd made my mistake then, I've  learned my lesson;

In my return I'm not that sure, what was destined;
Wishing I'm still welcome, that nothing change;

Mother nature would be pleased
At the way we cut her trees,

Fascinated with the way
We bring machines to her domain,
That's a shame,

Sometimes we can't replace
All the things we take away,

Replacing nerves but
Can't take away the pain,
Must be a game ,

Making love ones feel the strain,
