A strip of barren land
Stark, forbidding
But I sat there and watched a flower grow
Bringing a bright splash of colour
To this dead land
Bringing a bright splash of hope
To a world sinking into the darkness

the problem with living in the moment
is that when the moment ends,
*so do you
// we lived too fast, we died too young //

too many poems
too many poets
describing the
same **** feelings
and yet
throughout the centuries
none of us
have ever found
the right words
// spent my whole life tryna put it into words //

thank you so much for the daily ♡
I like to take a dip in the poetry well
when my life seems to be dry
I like to take a dip in the poetry well
when I question why
I like to take a dip in the poetry well
when I lost the courage to try something new
I like to take a dip in the poetry well
when I need encouragement then I get it from you
I like to take a dip in the poetry well
to ease some anxiety
I like to take a dip in the poetry well
let my emotions swell
I take to take a dip in the poetry well
while holding paper and a pen
I like to take a dip in the poetry well
where inspiration never ends
I like to take a dip in the poetry well
where I can gather with my friends
This is for All My Hello Poetry Friends!!!!
Thank You so much for your friendship and encouragement!!!

Jasmin
She wanders,
guided by her lost soul.
She spills arts,
coming from her pure heart;
She writes words no one can understand,
yet she speaks it like it was kept in her mind
for so long, just waiting for someone to find it.
She is a masterpiece of her own,
but she has a heart of stone.
turn out the lights
and lock the door
my heart can’t live
here anymore

I beg don’t laugh
it’s not a joke
a heart won’t stay
where the heart was broke

my heart still beats
my heart moves on
but it’ll take some miles
til the cracks are gone
Going Home

Going home can sometimes be
The best part of life
The comfort and the peace you feel
Somewhere deep inside

There's a calmness that comes over you
Knowing nothing ever changed
As old friends come to visit
Their faces stay the same

Going home can sometimes be
Just exactly what you need
It reminds you of just who you are
And who you need to be

It lets you take that one step back
See all the things you've done
Helps you better understand
Just how far that you have come

Going home can sometimes be
What helps you make it through
Shows you that the life you live
Is the one that's right for you

Going home to family
Can be what you need most
To help you find yourself again
When you are feeling lost

Go Home*
