The heat of your forehead -
An oval of warmth on mine
Mint breath
And soft breathing
Your hands tighten as you relax
Fingers kissing
I say  be still
And guide you with my inhales and exhales
And the fear and the hurt and the anger drain out of you
Into a puddle on the floor
And you're a puddle in my arms
I love you so, little puddle
Might there be a fountain
where souls long dead from thirst
find spirits raised to life in floods abounding free,
so that what once walked as corpse,
night-bound and blind, may see?
Old self exchanged for Treasure,
diving in tastes such rejuvenation
as can't be weighed by mortal measure—
wine unlike our earth-grown fruit whose petals fall,
from this Vine flowers the pleasantness of Love Divine
which bathes in healing waters all
who come as humble newborn with bold **** to dine.
"Jesus answered, 'Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.'"  John 4:13-14

"Then Jesus declared, 'I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me will never go hungry, and he who believes in Me will never be thirsty.'"  John 6:35

"On the last and greatest day of the Feast, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, 'If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. Whoever believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him.'"  John 7:37-38

"'I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.'"  John 15:5

I've poured over books of science
Studied hard the ancient arts
Even spoke with bearded Guru's
On the peak of mountain tops

Taken classes from learned professors
At top notch universities
But if Jesus isn't brought up
What good are they to me

I've rubbed elbows with Hollywood Stars
As they've rehearsed their lines
Had discussions with dignitaries
With Presidents I've wined and dined

I have watched the worlds top athletes
Some of whom I'm their biggest fan
But if Jesus isn't in the process
It doesn't make any sense

I've seen a man walk on the moon
Plant a flag beneath the stars
Heard men give the greatest speeches
Watched men drive the fastest cars

You could say I've about done it all
And in that you would be right
But without Jesus in the mix
There's not much good to life

.

Watching her board bathed in fog at the station
Spectacles slide down the bridge of his nose
Usually a blur, not in this situation
Smudges can’t hide every beauty she shows

Lugging a satchel in high heels and cotton
In her left hand rests a statue that grins
Such an odd sight, this her concrete companion
Never you mind as the journey begins

Timidly calling the glass doors to open
Counting his change spread of nickels and dimes
Gasping for breath on a curb painted yellow
Escaping the past, oh those horrible times

Filled every row, ‘cept a seat near the driver
All eyes affixed as the vinyl bench sighs
Kicking her shoes to abbreviate blisters
Freedom is felt in the footwear goodbyes

Nervous he waves from the corner still pacing
Climbing the steps of a Westminster bus
Pulled at his limbs by another intrusion
Faking his mood so she thinks there’s a fuss

Taking a seat between cement and flannel
Rolling his eyes that he don’t mean at all
Watching her lips as she inhales discretely
Feeling his library heart start to fall

She tugs his ear with her thin ringless fingers
Whispers a secret he hopes comes to share
Hides from the window, the vehicle moving
Nary a glance towards the morning sun’s glare

She holds her gnome like her life is depending
When all she needs fills the seat right next door
Porcelain dust on her clothes has her sneezing
Handkerchief offered he nicked at the store

Such is the dream of a bookworm delivered
Finding the chapter he’d thought long ago
Angels and demons and pretzel tan loafers
Potholes and clues juggled way down below

What is this trail winding out to the country
She gives a smile so much more than the fare
Holding on tight to a vested creation
Seeking adventure of those debonair

Here now we find such an unlikely duo
Still in their eyes shines reflections of grace
She has her man and her plan contemplated
He has his heart in the very same place

Exhaust fumes emit in a paisley frost pattern
Corduroy sidewalks bid all a farewell
Searching for love is the now destination
What will they find, only time it will tell

And as a western of popcorn persuasion
Into the sunset, they fade in the glow
What once was billed as a short presentation
Nowhere on this page will “The End” now show
I might continue this, not sure.
Here is a link to part two in case you stumble upon this one.

The sunrise peeks above the hill
its glow a gift on morning skies
Then blushes on the clouds so still
before the beauty in your eyes

Like ice cubes in a tray,
we were stored away.
Frozen and divided,
yet strong when united.

We cannot break free,
from the darkness they don’t see.
They are controlled by a malicious sickness,
which turns them into creatures bred by darkness.

Now we play a game,
for our freedom to reclaim.
They think they have plenty of time,
to cover up their secret crime.

We look them in the eyes,
with coldness and despise.
Messing with us they will soon regret,
when we torture them through the alphabet.
I am not too sure why I wrote this.

I just spoke to you this morning.
You sat elegantly, just like a queen.
Yet you left us with no warning.
Now you are nowhere to be seen.

No more strange looks behind my back.
No more tiny sounds with that crooked tooth.
No more fur coated in midnight black.
No more eyes that flash like a photo booth.

The two there are left, what about them?
They don’t know you are gone forever.
Cars combined with speed is what I condemn.
You deserved so much better.

On this mild Monday in July.
Your memory now will be kept.
If I knew, I would have said proper goodbye.
Your death is hard to accept.

Your spot is now empty.
Like an important missing piece.
You were so sweet and friendly.
I hope you rest in peace.
One of my cats died this morning. It got hit by a car. The only positive thing is, that she died right away with no suffering. Her name was Crystal which is why I named this poem "Crystallized" since I thought it would fit perfectly for her.

I ****** towards the universe
Expecting a big bang theory
Your milky way is protein rich
And I slurp it with great relish.

Am I already in heaven now?
I see music, I hear psychedelic hues
You slam against my Andromeda
My solar system burst in flames.

Ahhhhh……
After eons and all the light years
I have reached the pinnacle of cosmos
But I will be back again and again.
