Here I lie
Typing word after word
Everything I've ever felt
And everything I've never felt

All the conversations
I wished we had
The moments I dreamed
To finally come true

Our likes and dislikes
Your perfections and perfections
After perfections
And my imperfections

And then I realized
My fingers
Talk more
Than me
Once upon a time ago,
She said: adulthood wasn't supposed to take away my friends.
I do miss them, for what a horror life has been without
my few splendid friends.
But I'm busy and so are you. Adulthood has made a mess of us
And a nightmare of our schedules.
Time is short. Sadly I have only enough time to miss you.
Hold me close never let me go
Hold me close tell me you love me
hold me close and wipe my tears
hold me close tell me im only yours
Hold me close and respect me
Hold me just hold me
I sit down with you
So willing to hear
Caught up in your web
Just knowing you're near.
I catch myself often
Getting lost in your eyes
Put my hand to my chest
As my heartbeat multiplies.
I cling to each word
That you speak to me
And hold on like it was gold
Whatever the topic may be.
Speak all night and I'd still be sold
Talk about anything;
It would never get old.
I'd listen the whole while
And sincerely care
About what you say to me
I'm so thankful you're there.
The night reaches its end
We go our separate ways
But I'll be dreaming all night
About what you had to say.
Another teenage love affair. Silly, maybe, but honest.
You brush your fingers on my back and count the brackets on my spine
As you observe all the details in my deeply flawed design
And as you trace over my freckles, making pictures in your mind
You lace your fingers all through mine and feel our hands begin to bind

Our fingers slowly knot, turning into a mess
As we're tangled and twisted, from our loving caress
Being woven together from the threads on my dress
As we turn into one, I'm trapped inside your chest

Now when your heart beats, that's my laughter
And when you cry, I start right after
Whenever you bleed, that's my splatter
Whenever you speak it's my chatter

How many brackets did you count on my spine
before we both melted, and your blood became mine?
Goodbye  because with you I walk on fake ground once more.

Goodbye  because the silence hurts more than your truth.

Goodbye  because the restless nights are catching up to me.

Goodbye  because common sense has won over my heart.

I'm leaving without the fear of failing,* **for today I end what had never started.
I wake in the morning and thank my God in a humble way that He has blessed me to see another beautiful day.

I pray and ask God to help keep my focus on Him and not get distracted by every little whim.

When things happen to me that just seem wrong, it is my faith in Christ that must stay strong.

Thank you Jesus for always staying by my sideā€¦because this thing called life is one crazy ride!

My faith and my family will always be true and I want to say Jesus that I truly love YOU!
