“what are your special skills?”

well—
lately i have mastered the art
of silent tears
and wordless crying,
shuddering breaths
instead of wracking sobs.
my eyes don’t even get red.
if i do it right,
i have the exclusive ability
to break down in a full room
without anyone noticing.

also,
i can brush my weak gums in front of the mirror
and watch blood drip onto my uneven teeth
without flinching.

last,
i can give the best i have
every time
and still my brain can convince me—
worthless.
this poem is almost unbearably sad

I didn't come to the world
just to see its beauties
I was born to gain everything
I came here to do my duties.

I did not come here to destroy
I was born to make something special
I did not come here to cry
and not to make anyone want to cry
I was just born here to win everything.

There is no leisure time in this world
I came here to do something
and to delight in the outside
I was not born even to feel trapped
I came here to reach the equanimity
I did not come to be tortured
I was born to utilize to everyone.

I came to overcome the bind
I'm going to make a heaven here
This world is a beautiful flower
I'm just a bee, and I'll take out its honey.

you and i, we're like russian dolls -
a multitude of feelings are beneath our walls.
relationships and heartache too
(a billion words, a billion sighs to hide)
have turned us irrevocably into fools.
yet in these memories, we are forever tied.

the lurking of someone underneath,
a person yearning for a chance to breathe.
constant fear of being seen,
each the opportunity to choose your skin.
ever blocked from view -
i've always been changing but you never knew.

When sun is high in sky,
I become its reflection.
A being powerful,
full of life
to drift in path
as if a sky.

And when shadows come,
I merge them
with my own
Inner Light
and there I have peace.

She Writes
In regards to promiscuity
A man gets a cheer and a clap
While a woman gets a slap
On the wrist
And a tsk tsk

Oh the double standard

She Writes
You make:

My hands shake
My ground quake
My heart break
My head ache
My tears lake
My brain wake

She Writes
Some fear the night;
Scared of monsters in the dark.
I prefer the darkness;
The only demons I fear
Are the ones inside me.

Dementia, deja vu
It happened to me,
It could happen to you.

Bed sheets rake flesh,
High grade sand paper,
Blades dull and rust,
As if I held my breaking heart.

Whenever, wherever,
Brain signals fire, nothing is true
Walls close in, pain takes hold,
Insanity becomes the typical mold

Why can't I respect the flow?

So they say, just apart of the waves.

I wonder why I can never just chill out.
Insane in the membrane, never normal, overbearing.

Lady in blue
If only I could reach you
You will know that I love you

Lady in blue
I honestly adore you

Please allow me to love you...
For my lady in blue

divided,
undecided,
trying to hide it;
struggling.
indecisiveness is a curse in a world where you can either be one thing or the other
