Intentions

My intentions flow like gentle winds
releasing prose shaped in delicate flower.
Scent carries to paper
in swirls of energies pure.
They drift in words
behind ones eyes and into heart.
Where we shall meet and dance on a highway of a poem sweet.
A poem that whispers
with power of love.

Waking up
Watching the news and all you see
So many mass casualties
Motor vehicles mulling people down
Someone opening fire in a busy store
Young kids damaging others property
Innocent people living in fear
It’s sad to see that terror trumps the good happening around the world recently

Moon

Lara
I lie awake.
The half moon,
whose soft white shine
invades my room
and makes the tears that rest on my cheeks sparkle;
illuminates half of my face
so that the moon and I
can become a whole.

Only me
and the silence of 2 A.M.

Outside goes the party-goer
-knackered and filled with a portion of fresh memories
that won't be found in the morning-
to his rest.

Only he
and the silence of 2 A.M.

Outside stumbles the drunkard
-with repressed thoughts and events
that he couldn't erase out of his memory by a bottle-
to his end.

Only he
and the silence of 2 A.M.

Outside staggers the broken one
-with blood that’s drowning in wine and as red as the lips of the woman he tries to forget-
to his death.

Only he
and the silence of 2 AM.

Today I decided to be happy
So I woke up immediatly after my alarm clock went of,
wore my yellow polka dot dress,
made funny faces in the mirror while brushing my teeth,
ate breakfast untill my bely was full,
tried to smile at every stranger
and hummed along to my favourite song.

But it didn't work
for I was not happy in my soul.
It was still there, in the back of my mind,
how you kissed her
as if you were drowning and she was the oxygen.

I will never get to lose that sight.

His voice said
Nice to meet you.
His eyes said
You look good.
His hand said
I want you to notice me.
My head said
Stay away from him.
My heart said
Kiss him.
My voice said
Nice to meet you too.

That light over there...
Yes that one...it's new
I usually fail to reach anything but that's a new light isn't it?

Another chance to try again
I got this I can make it

With you at my side I can...
I can do anything
But will you last?
Will you stay?
Will you leave?

I need you here but...
Who is she?
Where are you going?

I'm over here but where are you?
Wait but you were the light?
How did I not notice?

Though it's too late now
I'm in the dark now and forever
And I will forever really need you

Wander in rhymes I do today
as I now write in poem I say.
And write I will to sing a song
I promise that I won't be long.

To move to scribe is fun to do
Come and read I write for you.
So your eyes they will move and dream
connecting you to a writers scene.

I write and prance in colors fine
and inside heart I now do shine.
Shine to wish you well this day.
as I bow and I sing Hooray.

On a sleepless highway I walked
eyes wide awake
mind drifting wishing to sleep.

The highway brought me to a computer screen
begging for dancing words
to the tap dance song of fingers.

And so I wrote
scribing a dream fantasy
of palm trees near winded sea.
of birds in graceful flight
of shells calling my name
A place perhaps I’ll dream of
if I ever get to sleep.
