Naked

Haydn Swan
Rammed into an ill fitting life
like a cheap suit,
bursting it's seams,
it's ripped open fabric falling to the floor,
like the tears that flow from my eye's.
So here I stand, naked,
no more clothes left on the rail,
no vestiture to hide my shame,
just the coitus interruptus,
as the day slips out of my soul.
sometimes all we have left is our own vulnerability.

Sometimes,
the most honest
thing to do
is to lie

I search for love
A definite sort of love
The feeling someone wants me
The feeling that I'm worth something
But I can't find it anywhere
So I'm getting cheap thrills
From men who don't care
As long as my short is skirt
And I'm young whatever
But I'll take it,
Use it, pretend
That their lips caress mine
Because they love me
Rather than just
Because I am there.
First poem I've posted in ages, sums up my feelings about life right now

You give me that feeling when a writer finally comes up with the Caldecott award winning novel idea. You give me that feeling when you just find out you just passed a test you thought you failed. You give me that feeling when you have good news to tell your best friend and you can't stop thinking about it, let alone trying to stop talking about it. You give me that feeling of waking up to a bright room in the afternoon because you slept in a little longer today. You give me that feeling of deep hunger when you smell your favorite dish and actually get to take a bite. You give me a feeling i can't quite put in my own words, a feeling that hasn't been yet defined, so I'll just say it like this. You make me feel, and I can't stop feeling because of you.
Face yourself
In front of the mirror
Can you tolerate?
The reflection
Or makes you cringe
In an endeavor
To mask the reality
Another face becomes true
Which may not be you
Pray to the clouds
To shower you with love
Every drop will revive
The parched garden
Collect every drop
With care
See through cascade
Get a glimpse
Of natural beauty
Glowing with pride
Planted seeds of hope
In your heart
Let dreams wake up
And hope take root
Pray to the clouds
To shower you with love
Look with your heart
Hear with your eyes
Speak with your soul
Listen with your mind
Help with your hands
Pay with your Love
Look past differences
Created by us
Conscience wants to speak
Give it a chance
We are all together
Let’s celebrate the diversity
Makes the Earth, colorful
