You
swept
me
off
my
feet
and
helped
me
walk.

believe me when i say
that these scars
are not a reminder of you
believe me, these scars
are a reminder
of how deep my love can be
these scars are not about you

Call me mad
nevertheless
I truly believe a life
Without poetry
Would be a poorer life
A less happy life
an artless life
A life without color
A life without tongue
no sounds to be heard
A life empty
of any real meaning

"That night when you kissed me,
I left a poem in your mouth,
and you can hear some of the lines
every time you breathe out."

I was hoping time would extend a little longer
Feel it sliding out of my grasp
What do you believe will happen now?
A question I am anxious to ask.

I am scared silence will be your reply
Give my own answer to the sun
It is not until the moon ascends
I realize you also are afraid there are none.
I hate my own thoughts.. Why am constantly torn up by doubt and indecision? I ruin everything good I have by overthinking it.

I'm at a loss of words,
And this time
It's not for the usual reasoning
That you astonish me
To a point of speechlessness.
This time it's because
I miss you
And I'm struggling to speak to you
Without those three words
Tumbling out of my mouth.

Sing for me, belt out the music,
and set fire to my soul.

Bring the warmth with you,
I need it for the winter of my mind.

Teach me to dance again,
to learn how I can battle with grace.

Show me that I’m strong enough,
when the blindfold covers my eyes.
