Freedom for me is,
Speaking my mind without being judged.
Laugh out loud,
Without getting nudged.
Why you always asks me to compromise,
When you know that you are the one who cannot adjust.
You ask me to keep my mouth shut,
then who gave you the right to burst.
If you cannot understand me,
Trust me I don't need your words.
For me you, your feelings, your thinking,
Everything related to you is absurd.

Let's Pretend

Smile For the Camera
(Nobody wants to see the real)
Cry behind closed doors
(Show them success. What are fears, tears, eyes, and  ears?)

Scream alone while everyone's asleep.
(Let the lambs sleep, you weren't meant for this)

Work hard, and smart  while others quit
(No doors are closed, when you become the key)

Focus on yourself, and you won't notice them. Be successful for you, don't get so stuck watching others. You fail to see what's wrong in front of you, if you keep looking around. Shut down, and build up
(Eat, sleep, over power them. Make this world yours, don't get stuck in the lions den.)

It ticks by,
The clock hanging on the wall;
Striking past two in the morning,
Letting the fatigue wash over me like waves,
And over the shore I'm left dying.

It ticks by,
The watch on my wrist,
Painting the world gray,
Splaying the world above me with a black canvas,
And over the mountain I'm left alone crying.

It flies past—
The hourglass on the windowsill,
Blowing the nature with its breath,
Slicing my skin like daggers—
But even so, I'm still here,
Right here, left alone surviving.

Jane: This was written when I had a sleepless night, crying over the sad truth of life.
Lore and Legend Oct 2018
There is a crisp chill in this changing wind,
As summer breathes its last and comes to an end,
As the sun dims the world seems to die
And a solemn tone touches the sky

As I meditate on this state of grave, lonely silence
I remember that this time brings nature to balance,
That winter-waiting will result in birth of spring
And once again the birds will come forth to sing

How beautiful to see this pattern replayed and repeated
And in my own life the pattern is completed
For as the seed must die before it gives,
So my own gasping frame must die before it lives
"Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit. Whoever loves his life loses it, and whoever hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. If anyone serves me, he must follow me..." John 12:24-26

As much as you may dwell on the past,
and as much as you may hold onto regrets,
there is no going backwards,
not even by a single step,

so we move forward,
past the torment,
past the pain that lingers incessantly,
into the future history of now,

“Hello,
how have you been,
what more do you want from me,
I’ve already given you my everything,

what more do you want from yourself,
are you satisfied with where you’re at in your life,
I know it’s crazy how we can’t take back a moment,
can’t reverse the hurt can’t make any wrongs right,

and dwelling too much will make a sane man crazy,
so try to remind yourself to find yourself always in the present,
and let’s make the best memories we’ve ever had tonight,
then forget them all so we don’t recollect in regret,

because as much as you may dwell on the past,
and as much as you may hold onto regrets,
there is no going backwards,
not even by a single step…

I guess the moral to this Heart Break Love Story,
is if you love some one tell them right now don’t hesitate,
because there’s no better place than here no better time than now,
don’t wait like I did until it was too late and your heart begins to break,

because then it will be you sitting here heart broken,
chest torn open a victim of your own torment and emotions,
all alone with no thing or one to keep you company except this poem,
with no thing or one to keep the faith or place your hope in,

left all alone to your own devices,
as the love of your life disappears right before your eyes with,
your heart in their hand as they exit without a plan,
back into the cold world and all it’s vices,

I just,
wish I could turn back time but no one can,
so instead I try to push forward,
past the Past and through the pain,

and attempt to live long enough,
to give guidance to all of us Lonlies,
finding strength in my weakness and sharing the ways,
through poems and other forms of this Heart Break Love Story…

You can only go halfway into the darkest forest
...then you are coming out the other side
When she speaks,  her words
become bubbles in the wind;
hollow, weightless.
