The conversation went like this:

J: "Hello daughter"
(It's an inside joke, we have a whole family tree :)
Me: [Looks at J]
J: "uh, Son"
L: "Son!"
L: [Smiles and hugs me real tight]
(L is trans too)
J: "How dare you ignore your mother"
Me: [Hugs J too]
Us: [Laugh]
A "poem" every day.

Binder update: I tried to order them, but the site won't accept my credit card in any way. I'll try again tomorrow, we'll get there.

Thank you
For all the good laughs
For all the endless thoughts
You never know that
A part of me wished
You're the one
And only

because of you
when feel defeat
i now bleed black ink
to hello poetry:
thank you for giving me an outlet. a place where I can speak freely when i am at my lowest, in the darkest place i can reach. thank you for giving me a place to put the thoughts that i cant comprehend in my head, and making me realize I'm not alone. i cannot thank you enough!

should I begin with an apology
or thank you?
you have given me a chance
to know you
they say people come and go
sometimes even if you don't
want to you'll have to let them go
maybe I should begin by saying
"I'm sorry"
there are days I push you
just because I want to deal it alone
and hope you don't resent me
all I can think of is to protect you
and I'll end all of this with a
"thank you"
for being there with me
when everyone else walked away
Poem of the day. July 22
Wrote this for my friend.

So I started reading my poems today
The ones I posted since my first Sunday

Seems to me that I suffered a lot
I was upset and wanted to spill some blood

I'm better now, I really am

Writing poems was an escape
A path that I had to take

I'm glad for everything I wrote no take backs
It's how I felt, true, raw and dark

Thank you for everyone who was
there
Without you non of these I could bear

Thank you

For letting me feel the sun like it was meant to shine
For letting me see the sky, like it was meant to smile
For letting me hear the sea, like it was meant to calm

And for letting me see the you,
That I’ll always look forward to.
To all of you out there who wants to give thanks to the people who brought out the best in you simply by existing.

Every time these four walls seem to be closing in
You swing through them to give me oxygen
Every time these four walls seem to be crashing in
You hold them up to give me oxygen

Every time these thoughts get darker
You light a candle
Every time these thoughts get harder
You help me handle

Every time I need you
You are there for me
Every time I call for you
You come to hold me

So this is my ‘thank you’
For everything you do
Even when I am taking it to far
You are always there to stitch my scar.
