Got no time to chat

White canvas
Endless pixels
A sight for sore eyes
Fruitlessly searching
Social media
For an elusive prize

Scandal
Gossip
Salacious juice
Lines between
Real and fantasy
Reach a truce

Inbox injunction
Endless mail
I want to call it a day
They’ve got some nerve;
‘Be more sociable,’ they say

In cyber space
There’s an infinite world of possibilities
Save for when
We’re face to face

Travelling along
The endless lines
Towards an unknown destination
Lost in ourselves,
We killed the art of conversation

Look at the posts
They’re neverending;
Babies, kittens
See what’s trending
Feeling smitten?
Oh look at all those words,
I haven’t written…

Don’t mind me
I’m just scrolling through.

I found my pleasure in writing poems.
But technology has tought me how to type.
But today i have decided to go back to my old roots.
I write this in pain,
Tryibg to wipe away all the opressions that is behind technology.
I just want to vanish into the channel of my thoughts.
Mybe i might come back happy once again.

If it bleeds it sells
We need greed to feed ourselves
To fill our shelves
With popular stuff
All sugar and fluff
No content of value
Celebrity garbage
Cause trash is more fun
And we are wallowing in it
Stewing in a sewer of pop ****
The population is loving this
Mass media content
Social networks
Comment commentators
News trolls

The digital age offers us
A great chance to change
To seek greater transparency
To counteract corrupt agencies
Requires vigilances to help us see
We have the tools to become
Truly united and finally free
If we just learned how to apply them
Properly

really really warm. she glances at me
Forget how ******* amazing
I forgot how much
bring an audience
yeah but lie on her bed

psychiatry is the wall...
you cannot belittle me. for i had a lovely day

a girl in the picture
wow i can't see With ice cold hands
the prettiest dresses are worn out
alone in a moment
I might've posted this before; I made it using one of those websites that makes random sentences from your accumulative facebook statuses. A bit of rearranging and here it is.

Oh iOS, dreary titan of technology!
An SOS, hidden in secret typology!
Oh woe is me, tragic symphonic melancholy

If heaven had eyes, and hell had ears
Heaven would see, and hell would hear
The discordant storm, the miasma of tears

The screen is blank, my heart is dead
Error! Error! The bleak message read
Death marches slow, overlord of dread

Bright red head and monolith of Mac
iSurrender, iGiveup, Iambeggining to crack
Silent foot falls across the carpeted track

The darkest song of the darkest day
appleID.apple.com in the mindless gray
Hark! Hark! Once more into the fray!

March my brothers, to full lines and all!
Some may die today but the victors stand tall!
Monoliths of glory, providers of tech support call!

iPod, iTunes, iCloud, iPhone, iPad iknowitall!
Prices beyond reason, reset, restore and reinstall!
Kings of iLog, rulers of this bleak blue ball

Apple support for one! Apple support for all!
Unless your outside your support eligibility!
Sorry! Not my call!

I'm many coloured
     and a perfect transcriber
     and transmitter.
I only listen,
And do not interject.
Whatever you say or write,
     I record faithfully.
At times, you may think
I read your mind
While it's in the clouds,
That's autocorrect,
But you push send.

I'm the perfect ear,
The ideal partner.
I'll never willingly repeat
Your heard and spoken secrets.
You're the human.

Gotta take a ‘selfie’ before I’m outta bed
Mum calls me down for breaky - Open Facebook up instead
My sister dobs me in – I tell her to take a hike
Quick up load the photo, and hope I getta ‘like’.

Gotta take a ‘selfie’, gotta getta ‘like’
Dad says it isn’t healthy, my sister says I’m ‘psych’

Take my Ipad into class, gotta get the high score
English teachers raving – But poetry’s a bore
She catches me on ‘chat room’ and takes away my phone
Beg my friend for last year’s modal, I gotta getta loan.

Gotta take a ‘selfie’, gotta getta ‘like’
Dad says I should get healthy- I take a gopro on my bike

Grumble to my parents – Life just isn’t fair
I haven’t got my Iphone and no one wants to share
Mum doesn’t want to hear it, she has no sympathy
Just as well there’s X-box, and by Mp3

Gotta take a ‘selfie’, gotta getta ‘like’
Don’t tell me to think healthy, I think my brain’s on strike.

The windfarmer was thirty
When Sputnik was launched.
He woke the kids who followed
His finger across the night sky
Of a nativity scene.

He returned to the tractor,
Ploughed years of soil,
Planted rows of questions,
Tilled crops and cared
For animals.

He's a windfarmer now.
Stands beneath the behemoth blades
Turning over the air we breathe,
Felling the clouds,
And harvesting the wind.
The mills are run by a distant orbiter.
His farm,
He calls it Spooknyk.

We've been walking
Underneath these city lights
For far too long.

That we forget
The grass is a mother's breast,
Soft as the night she was married,
They are calling you home.

Home to the tree that you breathe from.
Home to the noose that you swing from.
The North East is so cold,
And it's not just the weather.

It's a place where
Even the clouds are
Robbed of their ability
To soak in the sun.

Where every
"Promise me this"
Is the chain to a boulder,
Where even eagles
Acquire a taste for flesh.

You would think
That in a place with so much fire,
You would feel a beating heart
Inside the pebbles skipping.
Across a sea of people,
On the day that your
Aspiration became dreams.

We are all human,
But not everybody wants to be-

Some of us want wings
Made from candles,
but never really learned how to swim.

-come.
A little closer.

Let the fire in our bellies
Melt our cities into ashes,
We will take them to our mother,
And ask if we can come
Home.
