Your tears will speak for you
while your loss dries up all words.

The spreading tearstains
on my shoulder
are eloquent enough.
Loss strikes you dumb. That's okay.  Just find someone to hold you.

The way you speak, brings joy to my head
Heals all the bad memories I witnessed
For you, I must love
Protect
Fight
You are the one
My only
Without you
I couldn't do a single thing
You and me being apart
Is like separating
Buttons from your cloak
Makes no sense
Which is why
We should never be apart
For you
O I ask for your hand
For your heart, you may be careful
As it had already dropped and shattered
O may you not do the same and be very careful
It is fragile you see
I love you my darling
let me live Jun 2019
they left me for dead,
no eye, no tear I could lift to the sky,
shame always befalls me,

no one to blame but me,
I rarely stand tall but keep my balance in check,
I always want my friends to fall in line next,

I've been going through some things on this rocky road,
but thanks for knowing there's never any backbone,
in fact, there's no backbone in this life.
loss lack of support
Sarah Robinson Jun 2019
you don't look sick
you don't look like your entire world has been
falling apart for years
and you're only holding on by a thread.
you don't look like you cry yourself to
sleep every Sunday at 4 pm
when no one else is home.
you don't look like you've been
ignored by your friends and family
because they can't deal with someone
else's feelings and problems right now.
you don't look like you've
been in bed for four days straight,
haven't showered or brushed your teeth because
what would be the point when you have
no inclination to even leave your house.
you don't look sick.
that's the sickest thing you can say.
because i don't have a physical handicap
that society has associated with all sick people.
because you don't see the days when i just stare
at a blank wall because there is nothing
nothing and no one that interests me.

and don't get me wrong.
i love you all.
i just have no support from you
because you don't see my illness and
you can't be bothered.
it's fine.
so i hide it further
until i can't anymore
and i find help and support
because i don't want to do it alone
Oskar Erikson Jun 2019
i spoke back into the echo
of an earlier cry
an
outburst of comfort
attempting
to heal the older me.

Wait
Did you just
Made me happy?
Made me feel loved?
Made me feel special?

Isn't that what friends are for?
So glad to have you//
