i plead to the skies - more, more, more -
the winds howl back in answer to my call.

and each time I cry beneath the stars, i wonder:

did Maker know, when He shaped the heavens,

what the heavens would witness?

for etched into my skin are reminders,

the cold touch,

the burning scent,

the salty taste,
of someone who will block me…

Eyes full of stars,
But not the good kind.
These ones shine with scorching heat.
Eyes full of space,
But not the good kind.
These ones threaten vastness sweep.
I see the moon.
I see the Earth.
In these eyes I see the birth
Of every star,
On every plane,
And see that it is all the same.
Now I’m lost
Within those eyes,
And so I find
The end of time.
The lights, they hurt
I try to rest
And at the end of space infests-
Those eyes…
Mine…

everytime I'm with other people,
I get reminded of how talentless I am-
they're all ******* shining stars,
while I'm one of those that are glow-less,
tucked away in a lil corner.
maybe I'm born in the wrong era,
maybe I'll be talented in another day.
maybe, just maybe, I'm famous in a parallel universe.
but they're all 'maybes'
isn't it time to give up?

If the stars above could paint the vast, vivid realm
That seeks shelter in your eyes,

Would it be fair to decline?

Or perhaps, it was always meant for us
To wave goodbye at the end of time.
could get lost in your eyes forever.

In the death of death, created,
In mutual annihilation
Of stars, collapsed and collided:
Gold; buried but not corrupted,
In the earth but not of earth,
Unstained and incorruptible;
A mere symbol, void of value
But idolatry's very roots;
As in reverence for just a name
Without knowledge of what's a name
Or a person's but an image,
For spirit's imperceptible
And unknowable in the flesh.

I raised my sight towards the heavens, and stared deep into the night.

There is no sound but the sound of silence, or maybe the sound of space out of sight.

On earth I have seen many wonders, but none like the sky when alight.

Scattered stars into the black glitter, some fairly dim and some glow too bright.

Some for the naked eye are clear, to saddened hearts they bring delight.

In some you can see formations, but others are too far apart.

To man the universe may seem simple, or just a display of celestial art.

A vast knowledge beyond our comprehension, Godly creation that we can’t explain.

Some knowledge mankind has mastered, but what lies beyond will drive you insane.

I see a shooting star there in the distance, in silence a humble servant I remain.
My Dear Poet Sep 2024
this world holds no secrets like you
the ocean can’t tell it
nor the shells can spell it
nor the wind can blow it
nor will I tell it too

this world holds no secrets like you
the dreamers don’t show it
the poets don’t know it
the sleepers can’t find it
nor will I tell it too

this world holds no secrets like you
the night won’t unveil it
the moon won’t howl it
the stars can’t fault it
nor will I tell it too

In the mornings, I try
To take a look at the sky
While it’s still dark;
While I can still see the stars.
They may be far
From where we are,
But there’s just something
Special, that bling
Next to the occasional moon.
I just hope light pollution’s worsening
Isn’t coming too soon–
The stars are what makes me smile
Before I spend (too long) quite a while
In school. At least I get to see
Something that makes me
Happy.
Trying to find that sparkle before the day (and my mood) turns dark
