Forget about speaking and understanding.

If someone writes in a different language
To your own,
You wouldn't even be able to read it.

At least at first glance.
I'm sure if you stare at it
Hard and long enough,

You'd be able to make out something.

Speak
Use the voice inside you
Don't let it be stale air
Let yourself be heard
It's like a bird not using its beak
To sing and bid sorrow adieu
Trust that someone shall care
And say every hindered word.

Is never an easy task
But you help a bit

Doting words soothe
Like the whisper of a brook.
With love, spoken,
My heart they took.

i descend into poetic oblivion
relieved as thoughts
once fragmented
are now overflowing
with great vibrancy

s p i l l i n g
without hesitation
onto pages

poignant stanzas and
afternoon poetry-smoke
tethered to dusklight dreams
in charcoal-dark ink

melting, sinking
in the effortless flow
of words
of lyrical musings
trapped for too long

now all is free
now all is whole again
