I lay me down, and shut my eyes,
And as I drift off, a voice doth arise,
He speaks in riddles and iambic lines, and strangely enough it makes sense

and rhymes.

I tell him to quiet, to go to sleep,
And from him, I ought not here another peep,
But he dares continue and all I can do, is write it all down
And post it for you.

The sun rises each day,
and something within me
ignites.
Makes me look
for inspiration,
and sometimes even
in desperation,
when there is nothing
I find.
I write these verses
and some of these rhymes
adrift in my mind.
Don't break my reverie,
I like to dream.
Day, night and at other times,
I scream.
Asking for and sinking into
new found insanity.

The world is dying
As we keep trying
To assimilate
To accept our fate
And drown our fears
In a stranger's tears
But we are one
We let our own blood run
When we wound
We become doomed.
Not much for rhymes but this happened so...

I’ve got this insistent need
To constantly feed
That hungry emotion
Inside of me
I can’t seem to stave
The things I crave
I’m feeling alone
And I need to save
Me from myself
Cause I’m trapped inside
My mind and my heart
Simply won’t subside
So here I sit
Just like a clone
But in the end
It’s me alone.

Lost in dreams
You see them think
With strands of hair
That seldom link
Eyebrows with
A puckered kink
Eyes that cry
Will also wink
Pointy noses
For fragrant stink
In dismay will they
Often crink
Cheeks that glow
With hues of pink
Have dimples in
Their beauty sink
Lips that frown
And lips that drink
A tooth that aches
And teeth that clink
Even jaws and chins
All move in sync
Formed expressions
All lost in blink
Faces like faces
Can’t be inked
Crinkle is a wrinkle or crease on the surface of something. (esp a face.) Crink is the verb form of the word crinkle. (I created it. Sue me.)

out of the blue you came,
and for that i was the blame.

the house was too crowded,
sweaty bodies and red cups enshrouded.

i looked and looked around,
but you didn't want to be found.

and then in the backyard i saw you,
noticed you right through.

i asked you 'what's the matter',
you said 'i would rather'.

i gave you a questioning look,
you asked, 'are you Brooke'.

i chuckled at you guess,
and straightened my dress.

you got up,
and pushed the red cup.

i opened my mouth to talk,
but further you walked.

you cupped my neck,
and gave me a peck.

i gasped for air,
and ran my hands through your hair.

your lips connected to mine again,
and realization hit me then.

i was too good for you,
and you were too good for me.

we didn't match,
we were a mismatch.

but just so you know,
i loved you all along.
even though we both said no,
we were wrong.

you were such a party destroyer,
you destroyed me, completely,
mind and body.

We don't need no wookie, Tony.
No, wookie, Tony.

You don't need no wookie, Tony.
No, wookie, Tony.
It's on a constant repeat...

I've been walking around all day singing this. Heh. >.<
