Reach high into the air, towards the trees
bearing the fruits of your labor.
You have tended them with care for so long,
and now they are heavy. Laden with new growth,
they are begging to be lightened. Reap the benefits
and harvest the rewards of your hard work.
You deserve to imbibe on the nectar of your toil.

There’s an old joke, “Procrastinate NOW, because
the sooner you fall behind, the longer you’ll have to catch up.”
Ha ha.

While a lot of students around here, even the good ones,
are procrastinators, I’m a diagnosed pre-crastinator.
I obsess over syllabuses and start things immediately.
I've got rough drafts of things due three months from now.
I’m a planner. Leisure time makes me itch.

I say that to say this, I’m reaping my rewards.
There’s a palpable layer of fret in the air.
Everyone's (the seniors) talking about their theses,
and how they need to start it—first thing yesterday.
I just listen, playing Flappy Bird on my phone, because I’m done.

When my professor handed my thesis paper back the other day,
he said, “This is good.” At first, I was delighted, quietly rocking it inside.
Then I floundered, becoming somewhat indignant. Why’d he sound surprised? Because I handed it in a little (80 days) early?
But soon enough, I was back to happiness.
I’ll have to defend it one day, but I’ll go first, wait and see.

Shall we wax poetic?

I’m like the sea, always restless
and I enjoy the flavor of honest effort.
I dub snark, and the little, jealous glances,
I blunt them with chey smiles, while thinking,
‘I’ll row my boat, and you row yours—just a little slower.’

Let them whisper me freakish
though I win a thousand crowns,
the real pleasure lies in my gun slinger’s sang-froid,
to finish the commission first and be the best.

Darkness will come.

All the infringements of suffering
that have broken our own selves

will unfold us

and we'll lay there naked and unveiled
in each-other's arms

as gold falls from the sky.
This poem is about the opening up of vulnerability in a relationship (darkness), and how it can have the most rewarding results (gold).

I want to continually reward myself
with new experiences,

wake up each morning to sounds
of birds chirping at dawn,

and rise to liberate my own inner warrior.

My coldness wakes me.
Trees blush in first light.
Curtains rustle with breeze.
Bird choir.
Coffee's waft.
Morning rewards.
a beautiful morning is like a reward

There is no book on how you should live your life, besides the bible, There are no rules posted to make decisions through' out your life, they are yours to make, There will be mistakes, along the way, just remember, the first time is a mistake but any and every time after that is a CHOICE!,There may or may not be rewards for all the things you do for others , you should never expect a reward for a kind act or you did it for all the wrong
reasons. , YOUR LIFE BELONGS TO YOU> LIVE IT LIKE THERES NO TOMORROW, LOVE UNCONDITIONALLY, LAUGH EVERY CHANCE YOU GET BECAUSE LAUGHTER  IS THE  BEST MEDICANE , LEAVE REGRETS BEHIND YOU BECAUSE YOU CANT CHANGE THEM EVEN IF YOU TRY, FORGIVE OTHERS THAT HAVE WRONGED YOU BECAUSE THE ANGER WILL DESTROY YOU, GOD FORGIVES US FOR OUR SINS SO WHO ARE WE NOT TO FORGIVE OTHERS?  LAST BUT NOT LEAST, BE YOURSELF, GOD MADE YOU WHO YOU ARE FOR A REASON DONT CHANGE WHO HE INTENDS FOR YOU TO BE BECAUSE YOU ARE SPECIAL IN THE EYES OF THE ONES THAT REALLY MATTER IN THE END!
All of the things to remember in life
The reasonable
Amongst the un
Will always be
The world against one.
But the tame
Reap their rewards
While the wild
Are maimed
And unarmed.
