a ****** of Crows
gather Carpe Diem;
fluffing their throat feathers,
commiserating
the dead-weight
each unshod foot
bending the world below

the horde of cleft feet align
      leaving no footprint behind ―
bowing the antique
frayed telephone wire
party-line swaying with the wind
over the washed out road;

at any moment
the land-line
might break
     from the overload ―
downcast,
abandoned,
level with the ground ―
but no one
on  earth
    even cares ...

they've  got
the whole world
in their palm
      beneath the sky ―
and the crows
have wings
    to fly away ...

The intelligence of crows vs. humans starring into a "smart phone"
— HANG UP!!! LOOK UP!!!! Go build a garden —

Carpe Diem:    Used as an admonition to seize the pleasures of the moment without concern for the future.

A hot, humid hill overseeing a river
Beautiful as heaven, but don't try to be a swimmer
Tons of wildlife, but a poisonous dinner

A country close by but so far away
Traffic alone makes up half of the day
For those who want room but not time to play

Museums galore and libraries for all
Most of America's internet is held a few miles off the mall
But the most desired information is behind cash and legal walls

Come a D.C. summer you'll be thunderstruck
Being able to live here costs all your luck
You'll need enough cash to buy food to fill a truck
The best places in town don't cost a buck

Man it's a lot of ****,
Analysing, brain frying,
Patronising, always trying,
They disguising, people dying,
Thrown in head first,
Shown how to make it worse,
Suppressed till you gonna burst,
Can't express except through verse.
Powerful men, we can't stop them,
They fight the problem with the problem,
We just ignore it, say '**** it, sod them',
Told what is yours, what you need,
Told off if you don't pay to feed,
Can't find some land, plant some seeds,
Cause its all owned by some man's greed,
I'm still happy, roof above me, food in my belly,
But I can see its all just money,
I just want a garden and a stream,
One day I'll live my own dream. (2/3/2018)
What a world

The biggest mistake our society made
Was thinking all of our experiences are universal, one in the same
So know when we say society is to blame
We can look back now at this mistake we made.

Although our paths may cross our roads are very different
We can intersect and end up in different places spaces occupied by life's unchanging eyes
But despite this interplay and crossroading we still can't seem to find harmony despite all our advances and abilities to share our lives and perspectives with others
For all the hate i see out there, you'd think there'd be just as many lovers

The biggest mistake our society made
Was thinking all of our experiences are universal, one in the same
So know when we say society is to blame
We can look back now at this mistake we made.

There are so many voices in this global choir
So many choices at the places we go to, it takes less energy to love and unite and we perspire to hate and divide, not aspire to be as one gigantic family under the sun
And if not now, then when will that wonderful day come?

The biggest mistake our society made
Was thinking all of our experiences are universal, one in the same
So know when we say society is to blame
We can look back now at this mistake we made.

She spent so many nights wiping off smeared make up she won't even put it on anymore

A siren's song,
no one had heard,
too easily mistaken,
for the remedy to our wounds.

A boy lost,
his life only a day,
before I realized,
why stay here?

This life can be broken,
shattered easily with touch,
but I remember now,
why it is so beautiful.

I have many companions,
a woman who loves,
for me and my life,
I have friends.

I would miss the snow,
as it falls in lacey grace,
covering the Earth,
in blankets so heavy.

Some words are hard,
to spit or roll off my tongue,
but that is why I push,
press through life.

The universe serves,
only who stay true,
and who stay calm,
collected in their thoughts.

Clouds don't scream,
only cry through the rain,
but always live to see,
the next day.

A crow's caw,
doesn't pierce the air,
unless someone is willing,
to hear it themself.

And a man can only love,
if they open their eyes,
face the battle,
and step forward.

My observations serve,
only as a reminder,
hard to say,
whether judgement will serve.

Hard to say,
goodbye and even sometimes,
I love you,
but it will get better.

Reach forth and take my hand,
let's walk through the fire,
close our eyes,
and leap.

This is a bittersweet poem on how I view life.

the pain and sadness
echoed across your ****** features as quick as
stop signs switching from stop to go
it was there for a split second
You didn’t want me to notice
But I noticed
All I  could think at that moment was
I’m sorry that the words I’m about to say can’t ease your pain

1) Nothing is assured, and it's better to be able to roll with the punches.

2) You can be alone and not be lonely. You can be lonely and not be alone.

3) Life without love is hardly living at all.

4) The person you would give everything for sometimes needs something you cannot give. That isn't your fault.

5) The person you thought was infallible can have abusive behaviors.

6) The thing that hurts the most is feeling inadequate for the person you love. Don't make anyone feel like they're not enough.

7) You can't fix a relationship by yourself, and problems are hardly ever just one person's fault.

8) Doing what makes you happy isn't always as easy as they make it seem, but it's important to try anyways.

9) Focusing on the past does you no good in the present. Focusing on the future can blind you to what is happening in the now.

10) Despite everything, in the end, all will be well. Learn it, live it, believe it.
Just some observations I've made lately
