She spent so many nights wiping off smeared make up she won't even put it on anymore
Luke Mar 2018
A siren's song,
no one had heard,
too easily mistaken,
for the remedy to our wounds.

A boy lost,
his life only a day,
before I realized,
why stay here?

This life can be broken,
shattered easily with touch,
but I remember now,
why it is so beautiful.

I have many companions,
a woman who loves,
for me and my life,
I have friends.

I would miss the snow,
as it falls in lacey grace,
covering the Earth,
in blankets so heavy.

Some words are hard,
to spit or roll off my tongue,
but that is why I push,
press through life.

The universe serves,
only who stay true,
and who stay calm,
collected in their thoughts.

Clouds don't scream,
only cry through the rain,
but always live to see,
the next day.

A crow's caw,
doesn't pierce the air,
unless someone is willing,
to hear it themself.

And a man can only love,
if they open their eyes,
face the battle,
and step forward.

My observations serve,
only as a reminder,
hard to say,
whether judgement will serve.

Hard to say,
goodbye and even sometimes,
I love you,
but it will get better.

Reach forth and take my hand,
let's walk through the fire,
close our eyes,
and leap.

This is a bittersweet poem on how I view life.

the pain and sadness
echoed across your ****** features as quick as
stop signs switching from stop to go
it was there for a split second
You didn’t want me to notice
But I noticed
All I  could think at that moment was
I’m sorry that the words I’m about to say can’t ease your pain

1) Nothing is assured, and it's better to be able to roll with the punches.

2) You can be alone and not be lonely. You can be lonely and not be alone.

3) Life without love is hardly living at all.

4) The person you would give everything for sometimes needs something you cannot give. That isn't your fault.

5) The person you thought was infallible can have abusive behaviors.

6) The thing that hurts the most is feeling inadequate for the person you love. Don't make anyone feel like they're not enough.

7) You can't fix a relationship by yourself, and problems are hardly ever just one person's fault.

8) Doing what makes you happy isn't always as easy as they make it seem, but it's important to try anyways.

9) Focusing on the past does you no good in the present. Focusing on the future can blind you to what is happening in the now.

10) Despite everything, in the end, all will be well. Learn it, live it, believe it.
Just some observations I've made lately
Journey of Days Nov 2017
...and the party continues
a conga line of ants
balance crumbs at jaunty angles
drunken cocktail waitresses
taking the scenic route across the kitchen bench
around the cooktop
skirting the kitchen sink where the spider and fly detente appears to continue
over the countertop
carefully avoiding the cockroaches playing five card draw
…. to the crack next to the door

@journeyofdays
summer in Sydney means the bugs move in
you can wipe spray clean vacuum
and they will all be back partying in your house again
the very next day

crows near barn    faded red    white stripe panes
scitter scatter    peck at grass
crunch leaves
coated floor    scavenging seeds
overhead like gold/red skyscrapers
angular    tall
declension
touches down
free fall
folks claim it's passed us by
it jostles senses
ramshackle deck    weak 'n worn    flimsy 'n haphazard
wobbly    uncertain    ***** on railing
fall into hands
dismantling of childhood
once was    no longer is
whistles blow crunchers onto old meeting place
furry Beanie Baby zips across pole
We are all grains of sand
Grains of sand in a vast dry land

Vast dry land scorched by the sun
Until we all come undone

Undone in heat and primal flame
Starting back from whence we came

Came we did from a distant fire
An ember of celestial attire

Attire birthed from a sound
The sound of OM where all is found

Found inside a mystical syllable
Everything and nothing willable tillable
I used to have
an hourglass
figure
but the
sands of
time have shifted
Rarely do I ever get a moment to myself
Everything that I plan sits dusty on the shelf
Staring at me silently each and every day
Poignantly reminding me how much I need to play
One day maybe up ahead in a year or two
Nothing will take precedence over what I'd like to do
So instead I fill my time wearing different masks
Intently doing all the things that the family asks
Bodyguard, Janitor, Chef, Taxi, and Teacher
Indeed are just a very few of my lovely features
Leisure however seems to always elude me
Inconsequential to how ardently I plea
Tomorrow is a whole new day to try it all again
Yearning for those moments I can find my zen
Shanath Aug 2017
Maybe he was staring at my back,
I didn't wish to know for sure,
I couldn't wait to get in the car and go.
The heat the same.
The streets empty
Like my heart,
Calmer this way.
(Silence)

A festival,
Men and kids in long shirts,
Black and white,
Their smiles defind the excitement
I fail to feel these days.
Children ran in the cafe
And at the gate.
(Rough edges)

On our way,
A scene in the passing only,
So forgive me I can' t say
What happens in the end,
But then again would it matter,
I failed,
And now, so will you.
(Questions.)

A cluster of motorised Rickshaws,
A white sedan with one man
Inside.
A small crowd,
Nothing unusual.
-An observation of a grown mind.
One relatively huge man,
Huge of muscles,
Probably in his late twenties
Or early thirties,
Stood holding the door,
The man in the white car
With his hand on the wheel,
Their faces a scrunched up paper,
A raging frown,
Up too close I would have ran,
From far,
I could almost feel both of their
Heartbeats.
I could read the story of the man in white
Matching his car,
I was worried
How could he possibly describe
His ***** face, blue eyes
To his daughter too grown
To be fooled with a lie
Of fighting dragons.
Or to his son, whose mirror
Would now own a scar.
How do we a grow up,
With all the mess of knowing
A little too much?
His left hand holding his phone,
The muscled man was pulling him out now.
(Was there red?)

( I am sorry).
Travel Tales IV
Been cramped up in a city
I have yet to know,
I couldn't, I am sorry
Read or post
But I have been writing.
I am trying, I am trying
To get back in,
Please bear with me
I will take some time
To scroll down through all your writings.
