Silent is the night
If you can see you can feel her breathing
    Fallen is the sky
If you can feel you can see her shifting

                                                          Luna, Luna...

 Frozen is my time
If you can see you can feel her dreaming
    Touch by gentle moonlight
If you can feel you can see her beaming

                                                          Luna, Luna...

Oh great whimsy moon,
If I ever had the chance to greet you
And slip into your limitless, blue dress
At any iota of request;
I'd glow with you until June

Once upon a time, light and darkness were born
Two ancient powers, taking form
They possessed every norm
Tipping the world upside down
Till their masters were created
They thought the chaos would be regulated
but fools they were
For the historic battles were never immortal
Hence, giving birth to an abnormality
It defied conformity
Instead of aversion,
A strange pull manifested gravitation...
An enticing realization
Much like a forbidden love,
their kiss hovered between red and mauve.
No sooner than it began, the curse set in.
a big bang and a continuous dilation
banned alienation
An agonizing melancholic segregation
for a Luna, once a creature of delicate darkness
is now a vampire feeding on her lover's light
dainty lights into one big stormy fire
an existence where they keep shattering each other's presence,
and for it to be poetically beautiful,
Is their reality.

for there never was
and never will be
a finer vagrant soul
to poetically allude me
than the billows of notes
that fall from your shade
and the stars in your lips
to sing a thousand serenades
dear, if only i could compose
about all my woeful throes
in lights enchanting as yours
no word a wasted recourse
and the aesthete that lies
beneath restless amber eyes
will dream up a promise
for fallen eternity’s premise
where the universe spins
as relentless time should be
and no whispers of parallels
between the lines of you and me
i’m quite dizzy from the sun again
but i’ll close my hands, count to ten
and wait against such fragile hope
that you’re the sunrise to decode
so why do i weep, ever still?
in the midst of my bedroom floor
only bare remnants remain, until
a voice paints a distant nevermore
of faithless keep, an endless rue
tomorrow’s heart, nor i nor you
southern nights, quaint afterglow
the days pass on as we’ll quietly go
i may be weary, yet do not think
i’ll give up when i’m on the brink
let’s chase the wind, and we’ll ascend
to an everlasting paradise we can spend
for there never was and never will be
a finer valiant soul to poetically allure me
than the muse of the moon and billowing notes
that fall from your shade and the stars that you wrote.

whichever color you glow;
a calm, serene white
a blood-crimson red
a rare, sorrowful blue
a lonely void of black

however you illuminate the night;
whether you wax and shine with the stars
or wane and hide above the clouds
whether you make a proud crescent
or be a glorious gibbous
or even divide the darkness
as either of the quarters

whatever shape you become
whatever shade you gleam
you will always be beautiful in my eyes
whatever you may seem
The very rare occurrence of a Super Blue Blood Moon happened last night and as a selenophile myself, I eagerly watched and waited for Luna and I figured a poem might be nice.

She was like moon,
Existed everyday and watched people passed her by;
Her beauty was breathtaking,
Yet people only notice her during eclipse;
When all she really wanted is to be accepted,
For being simple yet stunning–
Just the way she is.
1-31-18 Super blue blood moon was breathtaking indeed ♥

Oh La Luna.
You do much more than move tides.
You shift Souls into Light
Reminding us of the Dark
So we return with Might.
My Mighty Magician.
Master of my Soul,
Master of Night. ✨
