Swimming in the sea of equilibrium
I want to stay here for the next millennium
Right here in the middle, not to low, not to high
Between the deep dark bottom, and the bright blue sky

You can come and join me
On this calm glass sea
We can float here together
Just falling like a feather
We can stay forever
In this tranquil sea of heaven

If you let go for a moment
The magic is lost
But we held on all the way
Maybe the point of together
became useless when we lost sight
of important things that were not us
So now we’re gripping too hard
We’re holding too loose
We’ve forgotten how it feels
to be in the middle
If you close your eyes for a moment
The equilibrium is lost
it feels disjointed because it's part of something much, much longer written a while back. with everything, balance is the key to keeping things in sight.

entertain me, guys. let me see that yellow lightning
of legendary origin
encroached upon
throughout the centuries
by human fear
   seeking protection
   near some venerable shape

you stand

aloof

   silently balancing
   symmetrical circles
   of roots and crown

patiently oblivious of parks
and buildings made by those
who vainly walk in awe
to grasp the mystery
   in touch, in picture, meditation
   of otherness unmoved

Just as water flows,
All things seek unconsciously:
Equilibrium.

How do I balance
Loving you
And not loving you?
The scales always tip one way
Or the other.
I can't maintain equilibrium.
I'm not even sure if I want to?
Logan Hewitt May 2015
The universe is in constant equilibrium,
This much is basic.
But most fail to see it in the dark corners of humanity.
They fail to notice that there is a sigh of relief for every gasp of horror, as if the air goes from one pair of lungs to the other.
We reject the idea that for every happily ever after, there is a pair of broken hearts, as we'd rather stay where we are than move to where we need to be.
We fail to see that we need as many dreamers to see the possibilities as doers to make them reality.
Without one, the other cannot exist
Scarlet Niamh May 2015
They were so wrapped up in themselves all the time
That they wasted away their lives,
But their toppling equilibriums then settled in unison
And they caught each other's eyes.

There is a certain thrill when you are
teetering on the very brink.
An intense, almost perverse
curiosity to
see whether you will
continue to
stand tall or
will you
fall.

Falling angels

Black evil
Whispering taunting tantalizing
Teaching you dark secrets
Fallen angel (echo)

Fallen angel once flew high
Life of humaneness gone rotten
Humble equilibrium
Both darkness and light consumes them

falling angel (echo)
tantalizing
